I enjoyed the co-main and main from last night - some good tough fights!

I suppose that's not surprising given that most fighters never really lose their 'street' edge, and Paulie was still (in theory) an active fighter. Nevertheless, disappointing that he's not on the crew any more, since he brought a very different and unique personality to the otherwise very like-able crew of Renallo, Bernstein, and Farhood. It really worked well IMO and I'm sorry to see it broken up.

Which one? The Showtime card? There was (for once) more boxing than could be watched on a single night on Saturday evening.

Agreed and the part of ny that Pauli’s is from is let’s just say not that receptive to other races. I liked him but he took some things to personal and it carried over to his analysis. Anyway Oscar Valdez put on a clinic he straight schooled Berchalt . I didn’t think Berchalt was that slow but I think that weight loss killed him. He will never be right again the punch resistance clock on his chin expired on Saturday but on his behalf getting hit on the temple will kill your balance and legs the whole fight.
Broner did what he did best talk a good game and do the bare minimum. I think it was a draw Santiago outworked him but didn’t have that snap to hurt him. Brokers lifestyle has caught up to him he looked slow and sluggish and he is more cautious than ever. By slow I mean compared to what he used to be he lacked crispness and his combos did not fire off on demand like he used to. He will fight a series of safe fights for money and get in the ring with a young champ who gonna put an end to the Broner story.

I'm looking forward to a boxing world where Broner doesn't exist.
He lost this weekend. It was a close fight, but I thought Steve Farhood's card was accurate.
How he got the UD and of such wide scores was ridiculous.
Broner barely throws any punches and he has no power at 140+.

His post-fight comments are usually entertaining as he does a great job of showing what an ignorant moron he is.
Aside from that, there is no entertainment value to him whatsoever.

Complete agreement w/ both of the above comments. Broner is nothing more than a name "opponent" at this point, but the name will carry him a long way. So be it, if he can cash checks doing it, good for him. But when you take a low-work-rate fighter and make him older, slower, ground down by lifestyle and time, and now more cautious than ever, what you get is a guy that throws single-digit numbers of punches per round that don't carry KO power at 140 or above (as Money99 accurately noted above). He's boring, and he's not a legitimate title contender, which leaves...not much reason to watch him fight.

He was always more sizzle than steak, but it's painfully apparent to any remaining supporters he has at this point (all 2 of them) that he's nothing more than a loud-mouthed, homeless-man's Mayweather wannabe that had good-to-very-good skills at his peak which he completely squandered and is now very much past his prime. If boxing operated in any sane version of the world, we'd never see him headline a card again.

                  That fight should spark change.
Mandatory defenses are worthless if they're against guys who shouldn't even be allowed to fight as professionals.
A commission is needed that force all the alphabet organizations to recognize the other champs.
But we'll never see that because they don't want to share the 12% sanctioning fee - hence diamond, bronze, silver, regular, Tuesday, Summer equinox versions of the belts.

not just that - but I can't tell you how mad it makes me that they wait for the main event. With Kovalev they waited and he fell asleep and waited for UFC to end. IT's the most insecure thing I've ever seen a broadcast company do. This time I got tricked again and was just waiting thinking why aren't they walking out?

I have decided to boycott DAZN and won't even watch another event and support such an idiotic company. Highlights are fine - not tuning in again such a disgrace.

What is so ridiculous is that they recognize they shouldn't go head to head with UFC then do absolutely nothing to correct the issues that push boxing into its shadow.

The promotions shouldn't be working with the alphabet soup. They should demand one belt, less weight classes and the best fighting the best.
The lightweight division should be carrying boxing. Over the next 12 months the four 'kings' should be fighting each other to determine the best at 135.
Instead, I bet none of them fight each other till 2022. At the earliest.

I thought DAZN and C-Alvarez split. Will the just announced Canelo-Billy Joe be on DAZN? I'll pay $19.95 for that one.

I hear ya' but if the fight's good enough I'll ignore their past mediocrity (at best). I did leave them some time ago.

Can't speak for U.S., but all Canelo's recent fights have been on DAZN Canada since his split with them.
And it's been announced the BJS fight will be streamed by them as well.

Did they just make Ruiz vs aereola a Ppv fight? If so this is what’s wrong with boxing and this is what’s going to put boxing on the back burner. This is a classic. Fox Saturday night free tv fight. I don’t get it?

Unbelievable-This is a fight I’d like to see but not for $70. I guess they’re banking on the Mexican market to sell it.
