I don't think Berlanga will be in a position to fight Canelo that early. By late 2022 I'd like to see him fight Lemieux. The odds would be 20,000-1 against a decision.

Opted to re-sign with DAZN month by month ($19.99) and I was pretty pleased with this fight although I never thought Saunders would finish.

True boxing fans know he wouldn’t be ready but in today’s boxing landscape he is being built up very quickly and knockouts and power combined with a angry attitude sells. By next year he will have beaten a fringe contender by knockout and start yapping about canelo. He will be in a win win situation like canelo was when he fought mayweather if he loses he was too young but learned from it if he wins he is a instant legend. At some point canelo is going to have to face a young bull ..and if not mistaken berlanga is Puerto Rican which adds a whole different marketing plus for the fight..,

I didn't mean whether he would be ready to give Canelo a battle, but whether he would be in position to get a fight with him that early. I saw him on Max On Boxing this past Friday where he was talking a more patient climb up. When Max asked him who's next he could only come up with Gabriel Rosado. His immediate goal is to be off undercard status. He has to beat a couple of top 168s For Canelo to get interested (IMO).

Wilder wins arbitration and now a trilogy match with Fury is on.
While this pushes back Joshua-Fury, I'm actually not too disappointed with this news.
Sounds like AJ will be fighting Usyk and the winners will face each other.

I fully expect both Fury and AJ to win and finally fight in the Fall.
But I also wouldn't be that shocked if Usyk found a way to win. If that happens, I'm guessing AJ gets a rematch immediately. Who knows.

And despite the crying, moaning and shock coming from both the Fury and AJ camps, I'd bet my last dollar everyone involved knew this was happening. It's likely why they announced the Unification fight in the first place because they knew it wasn't going to happen.
This is boxing 'marinating' the bout.

I just hope all of this is settled and we get an undisputed champ by the end of this year.

Can Teofimo Lopez become a PPV golden goose? If he can get people to pay a just announced $59.99 price tag for his June bout against George Kambosos he might be on his way. Me personally, I'll wait for Ryan Garcia.

There is no way wilder is going to fight fury as his next fight. This was simply to get step aside money because he hasn’t fought in a year. There is way too much money to put fury vs Joshua at risk.. wilder talks a great game and leveraged this too make money..

Just as I expected. This was all negotiated and planned weeks prior.

I thought Taylor looked pretty good last night. He showed a little bit of everything, boxed on the outside, banged inside, good footwork, good upper body movement. Showed almost every punch and surprised me with that sneak uppercut that knocked down Ramirez.

I don't know if anyone else felt this way but Kenny Bayless gave a LOT of time for Ramirez to recover. That was on both Knockdowns, and he pushed Taylor back a lot. Here is the 2nd, I can't find a good one of the first but it was much the same thing. I think Taylor would have closed the show if he had been able to go after him a little early. I'm not upset or anything but it's as if the ref wanted him to fully recover when that's not really his problem.

I count about 22 seconds from on the floor to the next punch thrown and most of those (14 or 15?) are while Ramirez is already standing

Agreed, I had the same impression - Bayless was giving Ramirez a big-time break by giving him a chance to steady himself well after he got up and was evaluated/asked to continue. It definitely helped avoid a stoppage in my opinion.

I don't think it's possible to be too cynical about anything that happens in boxing (inside or outside the ropes).

Even with that I’m still not convinced that wilder goes through with it.. I think what might’ve happened is that fury called wilders bluff as he kept sayin I’m not giving him step aside money. With that said something ain’t right with fury he was a little too geeked Saturday and he looks like he lost a lot of his humbleness.. prior to this he was always a man that thanked god while still
being humble.. Wilder is not ready for fury but I’ve always said fury is his own worst enemy..

Someone on Twitter pointed out that prior to the second knockdown Bayless touched Ramirez's arm - which typically means he wants them to break and not punch.
Maybe Bayless felt responsible for that KD as perhaps Ramirez didn't protect himself thinking it was going to be a clean break?

I can see that - the shot almost seemed like a cheap shot because watching it live Ramirez didn't seem ready or wasn't defending himself - but the first knockdown was the same thing. So even if what you're saying is the case, he was still way too slow to allow the action to continue on the first one as well.

I didn't see the arm tap (wasn't looking for it) but that's too bad and even though the way things were going it wouldn't change the outcome that's horrible to take a hard power punch whilst relaxed and not bracing because you think it's ok and it's time to have a break with no punching.

Interesting Bayless didn't feel the need to warn Taylor after that or call it a no-knockdown which he should have done if he felt responsible. All-around not a good day at the office for Kenny!
