Agreed. I think in the U.S it may do even less than Ward vs Kovalev. If that's the case it shouldn't even be on PPV here...

      It probably won't be.

Saturday night Daniel Jacobs goes up against Luis Arias on HBO. John David Jackson will train Arias emphasizing a body attack that GGG was unable to use against Daniel.

Huge underdog Enrico Koelling tries to last a couple or three rounds against murderous puncher Artur Beterbiev. Props to ESPN for showcasing the light heavyweight that nobody really wants to fight.

You're confusing your time zones. That would be a 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. (ET) USA start. The UK is five hours ahead of Eastern time.

The fight probably would start around 10 p.m. in the UK, which is a 5 p.m. USA start time. HBO or Showtime would broadcast it live and then probably replay it at 10 p.m. (ET) later that evening if it wasn't on PPV.

Yep. That's the long view, which would provide more eyeballs for both fighters, who are all but unknown in the U.S.

But NO ONE in boxing takes the long view. So expect this fight to draw about 300,000 on PPV in the USA, with the usual $79.99 price tag.

          Stupid.

true....the casual fan would not know either fighter. blame that on their promotion companies and lack of name opponents. it would do well on either showtime or hbo, but ppv would be a hard sell. personally, due to the popularity of both fighters, i would go with a cheaper ppv price, like $29.99 or around that range. maybe a great or close non-ppv hbo or showtime fight could set up a ppv rematch later. the rematch would have to be at vegas too.

Joshua-Wilder SCREAMS for a U.S. broadcast on ESPN, which has a deal with Top Rank. But neither guy is promoted by Top Rank, so we'll have a PPV that attracts about 250,000 buys in the U.S.

Jacobs looked real solid last night. I know he was talking about rust but I saw none. Hopefully with the new HBO contract he can stay more active. His left hook is serious. Loved how he was stalking him down. Cutting the ring off.

That's what he wants. He says that he wants to get another fight before that because he wants to stay active. He said it is one of the reasons that he chose the Hbo deal

Jacobs looked the most polished he's ever looked. Seems he's put alot of work into the "little things". He did an incredible job at establishing distance and alot of catch and counter on the inside. I find him impossible to cheer against...he's one of Boxing's good guys

Well, I guess Krusher isn't shot afterall.

In the opening few seconds Shabranskyy actually seemed to stun Kovalev with a hard left-jab. I thought to myself "Self, Kovalev may be shot".

I'm guessing the next fight for Krusher will be Barrera, seeing as he fought on this undercard?

I hear Stevenson is still pursuing this fight.
If I'm Kovalev, I ignore Stevenson. Adonis couldn't have run away from this fight fast enough years ago. Let him choke on his obscurity and ride into retirement.

The fight I'd love to see is Kovalev-Beterbiev.

Maybe, but Bivol-Barrera appears to be looming.

You mean Chickenson actually pursued a fight with Kovalez?

Me too, but I'd like to see Beterbiev get a fight or two in with Barrera, Bivol, Gvozdyk, or Badou Jack. Notice I left out Stevenson.
