Nothing really surprises me more with these companies nowadays. It's not about taking care of the customers and standing by there product. It's getting worse and of all the company's that produce games EA is by far the worst IMO

The smaller studios who are not in the indie catagory but also not in the triple A are the best of the best. They have the funds to do bigger things, plus the freedom to do it the way they want. Most also listen directly to their customers and engage one on one on message boards, events, and alphas to use direct feedback to make the best product their customers want.

I will use Bohemia interactive as a example. Large enough company to put out titles like the ARMA franchise and Operation Flashpoints. They directly engage with their community members and fans to create the game they want and guess what most people who are into their games LOVE their games. It is the little things they do that people appreciate, it generates respect. These super large entities like EA often side step those little things and people notice and grow tired of it.

I wish it was different, but a spade is a spade.

      or

      2) Just not play EA games online.

The only thing that really sucks is Gameface is a part of Origin so I cant make accurate CAFs without it. I may just bite the bullet and create a new PSN account since my playstation plus is running out on my old one.
I would just call them and have them un-ban the account

I pretty sure that you should be able to use PS+ on any new PSN account on your system.

It be fair it's probably because we're now using Next Gen systems which are undoubtedly more powerful, yet EA has made a game that simply just "looks pettier" than a game that came out two and a half years ago. Again, we have a new game, on a new system that doesn't have as much depth (game play or mode wise) or realism as THQ's game, so in my opinion the criticism is completely warranted.

Yeah. People hated UFC 3 when it was released. It was so bad that I stopped going to the impressions thread just to avoid the negativity.

If any of you live in the Vancouver area I'm 99% sure the retail version of the game will be available to play at the UFC Experience at Jack Poole Plaza today from 3-8.

This is based only on the UFC Experience truck that was setup at EA yesterday, and I'm assuming they're using the same thing for today's event.

Im going to head down there myself to check things out this afternoon.

The last fight I watched, the Evans vs Cormier was not a bad fight either. I would of liked to see Cormier hold Evans down easier when he did get top control but I think that had more to do with the difficult level. On hard I would of bet getting out from under him would of been tough.

Another thing I liked is the stamina on realistic time setting. It looks how you would expect stamina to be, but the problem is punch output numbers so high that fights will never see a decision or to a 5th round.

If they could give us a patch that adjusts the CPU AI to slow down when you change the time setting it would be perfect.

Accelerated clock ON = Leave AI strike numbers as is (maybe lower a tad)

Real time ON = AI strike numbers drop drastically to mimic real round strike totals.

Then most of us would be satisfied!
                      Definitely.

I keep saying it, but in the context of online matches, the solution parallels what should have been done with FNC. You could destroy spammers with real time rounds. The stamina was perfect.

The accelerated clock is what hurts the stamina, and as GameplayDev mentioned, they don't have two separate tunes for the difference in rounds so online will once again suffer, just as it did with FNC.

It's all good. I don't want to be complaining about a game I see myself enjoying, even though the stamina fix is right there. Just wish they could do it.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

One PlayStation Plus membership allows all local accounts on the subscriber’s ‘Primary PS4’ to use online multiplayer through their Sony Entertainment Network accounts. The PlayStation Plus member does not need to be logged in on the PS4 for other users to play online.

That's why I assumed you could just create a PSN for each division. For example:

                        jeremym480-hw
                        jeremym480-lhw
                        jeremym480-mw
                        etc.

With 10 CAF's per PSN. If you can't that sucks. All this changing out flash drives and turning the game on and off sounds annoying as hell.

You don't need to do a full breakdown review but I am just curious to hear how you are feeling now that you've got to spend a good amount of time with the retail version

When you go online lets be honest how many people you are gonna fight are gonna fight like real mma? i dont play online so Ai effects me more than most but really, online players from what i see in past iterations act like the cpu in demo so i cant really complain i would like to see ai improved and i assume that there will be a big patch on the release day.

                                I wont give a full review but I'll do a long *** pros/cons list:

+ Presentation: The walkouts are great. Much better than UFC3s and very accurate. The commentary is about the same level as UFC 3 but the chants are much better. Loved fighting in Rio with a Brazilian fighter and hearing them chant for him. Crowd sounds better than the demo.

                                - Walkout music: All that talk about "most fighters have their real walkout song" is BS. 5 fighters (out of 99) have their walkout music. Belfort, Pettis, A. Silva, B. Henderson and one other fighter I cant remember.

                                - Walkout Gear: I have no idea why sooooo many fighters either come out in blank T-shirts or have shorts with no sponsors. I'm sure EA's excuse will be "We didnt have their real sponsor so we couldnt put another one in their place".

Thats BS for 2 reasons: 1) THQ put other sponsors on fighters all the time in their 3 games and 2) it doesnt excuse why fighters like Rousey who are only sponsored by the UFC come out with a plain black walkout shirt.

+ Striking: This is the most fun I've ever had striking in a UFC game. I really feel like the jab is actually effective in this game. Not as effective as it should be (I cant use it solely to keep an agressive fighter off of me) but still good.

I really dont see the AI using crazy strikes that often. I played 20 plus fights yesterday and the craziest punch I saw thrown by the AI was a superman punch.

+ Grappling: I actually prefer this Grappling system to any other I've played. You have to actively defend. You cant just hold a button and transition block. You have to see what side a fighter is using to escape and actively block that escape. Same goes for the submissions. I fought Rousey twice and she locked in armbar 3 times. I escaped once and each time it felt like I was working hard to escape.

                                - Reversals: Way too many. Part of it is I'm ****ty at reading which side the reversal is going to so I can block it. There are still too many imo. As I get better at grappling hopefully this will go down.

                                - MMAi and the AI: Ok so MMAi is in the game....its just not what we thought it was:

Lets take Maia for example. When I fought him, his game plan initially was to take me down and I stopped 3 takedowns in the first round. So he adjusted and decided to strike with me. The problem was I was Robbie Lawler and there is no way Maia would choose to kickbox with Lawler. In real life, he would just try to clinch or attempt more takedowns.

MMAi is not fighters fighting like their real life counterparts. Machida doesnt hang back and counter strike. He only does that if you are being extra aggressive. Rousey clinches a ton but doesnt attempt many throws and tries to get you to the ground with takedowns.

                                - Aggressiveness - If the demo is aggressiveness at a 10...the retail game is aggressiveness at a 7-8. Its hit or miss. Guys like Machida/Saffedine/Swanson were very aggressive from the first round. But when I fought Ian McCall and Rousey it seemed way more realistic. Especially McCall who used his movement and was truly counter striking.

There is a rumored Day 1 patch (I downloaded a patch when I first installed the game but that may not be it) so hopefully this is tuned but i needs to be tuned really soon.

GAMEPLAYDEVUFC, All we are asking for is variety and some intelligence from the AI. I know a ton of causal fans love to just strike and do rock and sock em robots all day...give them online and the lower difficulties. The hard core fans just want the normal and higher difficulties. I want Machida to fight smart and sit back. I know some may call it boring but let me tell you...you will have an army of loyal customers if you make the AI more like their real life counterparts.

+Fighting stances and taunts - They stole this from FNC but I love it. They have a ton of different stances in this game and if you dont move the fighters will dance in place and sometimes taunt. The stances were right on.

                                - Lack of sliders - So if you dont want to make the game realistic at launch, you have to allow us to use sliders or make fighter edits so that we can do it ourselves

+ HUD removal - Adds a new/fun aspect to the game. If you turn off the hud, you are force to use visual cues to know if you or your opponent are gassing out. You also will be more conservative when fighting because you are never 100% sure how much stamina you have. I'm playing without the HUD from here out.

                                - CAF - YOU ALREADY NOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT THIS!!!!

+ Career Mode - Interesting but I can only see going through this once. I like the video aspects of it. Dont love the fact that you have to win TUF to get into the UFC because thats unrealistic. EA couldve easily made a minor league where you get a couple of fights and then get into the UFC.

Thats all for now. I may have more later.
