On my 2nd UFC event. So far just been doing AI vs. AI. I am really enjoying setting up the events and watching the fights. I'm going to roll with an all AI universe and a USER vs. AI universe!

This game could definitely make you appreciate the sport more. Before I played Undisputed 3, I was just a "casual" fan. I watched it every now and then, but after playing the games, I loved it. Now I watch every single event.

Playing UFC 2009 coincided with the first UFC events I watched - Liddell vs Rua/GSP vs Penn (97?)

It helped of course that the demo of 2009 was edge of the seat, white knuckle gaming, and I've been hooked ever since.

Also, Reed, as you know, the games help you to use and get to know fighters/wrestlers that either you have never heard of or just want to know more about.

That's when it becomes more fun, when you know most of the UFC roster, and you watch a fight with two guys or girls you know nearly every time.

Very true there fellas. I went and watched the fights a few weeks ago with some friends and it was a ton of fun. Helped that i knew who was in the three main events hahaha!

My biggest event right now is my 5th. The headliner is Edgar/McGregor for the FW title. I'm so pumped for it i put together a trailer for the matchup. If someone knows how to have it show the video instead of just the link i'd be greatly thankful.

I played four cards this weekend. Here's the results and some notes/rumors about each event.

UFC Fight Night 1

Spoiler

- Rothwell got a dominate win over Dos Santos and should be very, very close to a title shot.
- Hunt got a nice win over Mir and looks to get back into the mix at HW
- Magny had a huge come from behind KO of Lombard in the waning moments of the third round.

UFC on Fox 1

Spoiler

- Nurmagomedov had a close descion against Ferguson in what is likely a candidate for fight of the year. With the win Nurmagomedov earned the next shot at RDA which will probably take place in August or September.
- Jon Dodson notched his first win since moving to Bantamweight.

UFC 1

Spoiler

- Bones won back his abandoned title from DC. The fight really wasn't very close it will be awhile before DC can earn another shot at LHW. He may consider moving to HW depending on what happens with his training partner and buddy Cain Velasquez.
- Demetrious Johnson made easy work of Cejudo with the first round KO. At this point he has basically cleared out the division and is currently considering a Super Fight at BW.

UFC 2

Spoiler

- Werdum/Miocic ended in a controversial split decision with Werdum pulling out the W. Now we wait on the match makers to see if Miocic can get a rematch or if Velasquez or Rothwell gets the next shot. Cain was originally in line to get the next shot, however he was injured and Stipe took his place. Werdum's win over Cain was dominate whereas he barely edged out Stipe. Rothwell has won 5 fights in a row including wins over Dos Santos, Barnett and Overeem.
- Jacare was dominate over Belfort and waits for his title shot against the Rockhold/Weidman winner.

Hey jeremy, I did not see if you posted this already but do you play the matches or watch CPU vs CPU? If you play how do you pick your fighters and what difficulty do you play on?

I play all of them. I choose who I like the best. If I don't really have a preference, then I use Random.Org, but 9 times out of 10 I have a favorite. If I win that fight then I try to use that fighter again in their next fight and same thing with the CPU. Sometimes matchups with throw a wrench into that plan, but I try to let streaks ride most of the time.

I'm playing on Hard and I'm currently 14-18 against the CPU so it's pretty competitive. Submissions are a lot more difficult than the last game. I didn't have a single one in my first 27 fights, but then I had 2 in my next 4 fights (with Little Nog against Cummings and Jacare against Vitor) so I'm getting better.

Hey Jeremy,first of all thank you very much for the awesome spreadsheet. My knowledge of excel is pretty limited and for some reason the master tab isn't updating after I cut and paste the events into the events history tab from the upcoming events tab. I've checked and rechecked that all the names are spelled correctly and that the fonts are the same but it only updates a few of the fighter's records if any on the master tab for me. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

When you're adding fighters to the Upcoming Events tab are you using Copy Paste Values? If that doesn't work PM me and I will help you from there.

I have a semi-updated spreadsheet with a partial tutorial in Word in the attached folder. I haven't updated the records or rankings after the last PPV and there's still a few things that I want to add. I posted the tutorial last week in another thread and no one commented so I didn't plan on continuing it unless someone else was using it

You do have to have a little knowledge of excel, but nothing too bad. I barely even knew anything about excel when I started using it and was able to use it just fine.

My real only confusion, is after a fight and I enter in the results, will the rankings tab adjust automatically? If not, after a fight, how do I change the rankings? IE, if Ryan Bader fights Little Nog, and Bader wins, and after the fights I update the results in the correct place, the rankings will just automatically update? Hope that makes sense, Thank you again

The rankings you have to change manually. Everything else will update automatically when you plug in the Event History
