Re: EA Sports UFC 2 Community Impressions
Picked up the game even though I know I don't really have the time to play! So I've opted to lose some good nights sleep just to enjoy the game.
Loving it and having a good time playing, but I'm so awful. I don't know how to block my opponents' transitions on the ground. I always seem to be too early or too late. What is a way to get better at this? The skills challenges against the CPU haven't helped me all too well at this juncture. I'm probably only winning one fight every four or five fights in Ultimate Team. Seems like every opponent I face has a bigger reach. Trying to learn...
I love the live events feature. Very nice addon to this game.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 2 Community Impressions
Loving the game so far. One thing I've noticed that would make a big difference in stand-up:
When using the sway controls to slip strikes, when I fire back with a counter, it almost ALWAYS goes to the body unless I wait a second for my fighter to return to his default sway-free stance. As a whole, while the sway system is WAYYY better than last year's game, it still feels a little clunky and unresponsive (especially since it's supposedly modeled after Fight Night Champion's sway system, which was VERY smooth).
As someone who loves to counterpunch, I'd really like to be able to slip a strike and counter with a straight to the head IMMEDIATELY. That's the whole point of countering. Any chance this can be addressed in an update?
I like the sway, but when I slip a punch I want to knock the opponent's head off. Not tap him in the belly.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 2 Ships Today, Post Your Impressions Here
How do you guys feel about accel clock vs real time? I just finished my fifth fight against the CPU on hard and none of them have gone past the second. Could be I'm using guys with great striking rating."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: EA Sports UFC 2 Community Impressions
I mostly played unranked in the last game due to it being a garbage experience once you hit black and red belt. I can already tell that I'm in online championship for the long haul this time. Loving this ****.

Re: EA Sports UFC 2 Community Impressions
To GameDevUFC and whoever else involved with the game that posts here:
I can't stress this enough, but something has to be done about stamina on spinning kicks. Every McGregor I go against plays like a ****ing fool, and there's no reason for them not to do it a million times per match because they never slow down. I'm 13-4 in ranked, so I'm handling them okay, but this is just ridiculous. Please do something about this. I posted a clip of one of my McGregor encounters in the video thread so you can see what I'm talking about.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 2 Community Impressions
Good morning. So the final verdict is that Hard is better than Pro? I've seen two people claim this, but I haven't observed everyone else agreeing with it yet.
As for my impressions, I really like the ultimate team mode, even though I don't seem to be able to win with any consistency in division two. Considering how long the game has been out, I guess I'm running across.
1. folks who don't have to work, can play the game all day and get coins to max their fighters out
2. People that are paying cash for the packs and maxing their fighters out
I'm looking at rankings like, how in thee world do you have time to accumulate that many fights?
Game still feels a bit stiff, but its growing on me. Only thing missing is a "franchise" type of career mode. A Madden/NBA2k in depth career mode.Comment
