    Re: New grappling momentum scenarios coming in path 1.07

    A few of the previous momentum scenarios.

    Offensive Momentum, Guard (Bottom) - Transition to "Full guard" and immediately momentum transition the opposite direction to "Get Up" or "Triangle" if fighter has the submission.

    When Dominant fighter transitions from Half Guard to Side Control, Sub fighter can immediately momentum transition to Sprawl.

    When Sub fighter (Bottom) transitions from Half Guard or Full Guard to Back Take, the other fighter can momentum transition in the same direction back to Dom Guard.

    These are the major pre existing momentum transitions every player should be aware of.

        I'll add three more just to help out:

        If you're in SUB half guard and opponent transitions into DOM top mount, SUB player can instantly get-up unless opponent postures up;

        If SUB player gets out of side saddle to SC, they can then transition into sprawl;

        If player goes from backside to side control, they can then go into sprawl.

        Just a general one here: If someone does a TD into SC, you can pretty easily go into sprawl.

            Are you sure about this one? I'm fairly certain I've had this denied many times without my opponent posturing up.

              Compared to the other transitions, the get up seems to work quicker than going to half-guard. Like all momentum transitions, they're all blockable but you have to be quick. Try it out for yourself.

                  Yeah, I don't think this is one. I think stamina plays a part here.

                    I'd add all the ones that come off the entry into back sitting as must learn as well.

                    More so before the last patch in of the additional SUB transition, but still pretty important on the defensive side.

                      GameplayDevUFC since you are here,can you discuss the possibility of a clinch reversal,by dropping your opponent down or reversing the near the cage muay thai clinch,to a Down Under Counter to the cage etc. ??

                      Like the submission reversals on takedowns or the judo throws reversals on takedowns.Have clinch reversals.

                          Zero work from an engineering perspective since the clinch and ground fall under the same grappling system, but we'd need animations which we currently don't have.

                          Edit: Unless there are animations currently in the game that could be easily re-purposed to be convincing reversals.

                          Can't promise anything, but feel free to make some suggestions with that in mind.

                            I think some takedown reversals could also work for clinch reversals.

                              With what's currently in the game I think you just may have the animations needed. I think the biggest clinch reversal you could do is against the cage Thai clinch entry, switching positions where the attacker gets turned with their back against the cage to over/under.

                                I like this. I'm all for making the clinch more difficult, but like this. More options to defend. Less about taking things away. They have to take things away right now, but if they can add more defenses, go for it!

                                Maybe even use the throw/trip from MT face out as a counter. You are already putting your hands up towards their head. Imagine how many times someone would try to clinch if the opponent kept throwing them to the ground and getting a free strike or two. That is one of my favorite moves after SUGATA was talking about these.

                                Imagine a guy trying to clinch you, and this happens to him:

                                <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/jh7xlb3sDA0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

                                Definitely going to make them rethink clinching the other player.
