I really want this for offline!
Just as another menu option or something.
HUD off is great but there are a lot of times I'd like to be able to see my health and.stamina for various reasons.Comment

Hidden HUD for Division 5 & LEC = Something I'm really glad they added for UFC 3 ... makes the game so much more fun & immersive....I actually hate when seasons reset b/c then I have to go back to full HUD until I grind back to Division 5 lolPSN: Boiler569

Upping this thread because I need to bang on this drum some more. The majority of people who play this game are not in the divisions necessary to take advantage of the competitive hud. Being able to meter watch in a game like this makes little sense to me. It's unneeded and it changes the entire approach to fights.
I play games like Street Fighter and Tekken all the time, but those are different types of fighters. Is this game not supposed to emulate a real sport, at least in many regards? Seeing a fraction of meter left and knowing that if I kick their leg one more time, or throw a haymaker, that I'll get a health event doesn't sit right with me.
The only real reasoning I've seen in its defense around here is it is that the upper tier players might not like it, or they don't want to drive away the online player base. I'm of the strong belief that both groups would adapt. In the case of the elite players, they're good and don't need any crutches. And by now they've already had plenty of time to figure things out.
For the average person playing this game, they just want to wing punches and throw spinning kicks. They'll be cool with whatever. And who knows, not having that much information might actually lead to them fighting differently.
This game is in a pretty good place right now, but this is a change that requires little effort to make and would be incredibly welcomed by a lot of us. At the very least, having the option in quick matches would be much appreciated.Comment

Re: Opponent's health, guard and stamina meter bars should be hidden, do you agree?
I'm not a big fan of it. I'm not inherently against it but from my experience the game's visual cues do not display the damage done well enough. The extreme cases (20% stamina, 5% leg health) are fine but the middle-grounds I think could be displayed more effectively. I don't know how much of it is tied to sound because I don't play the game with sound on.
I think lower level players could enjoy the more unexpected knockdowns/outs if they don't see the damage in a meter.¯\_(ツ)_/¯Comment

Is it grimacing on the face? More favoring of hurt body parts? Other things? I'm legitimately curious. In a fight, knowing what it's going to take to hurt someone or rock them isn't something that can be precisely measured. There are visual cues, yes, but there's also uncertainty. Some people also have a great game face when absorbing punishment, and some can just take it better than others. I disagree that we don't have enough information, but I'd love to hear what you mean in more detail.Comment
