Re: EA UFC 3: Teach Me How To Thread: Tips, Strategies, Tutorials
Yes, but I find it harder to time (though the AI doesn't have a problem).
Does anyone know whether the input window for body kick catches got nerved? I got a lot of them the first weeks after the game release but now it seems very hard to get. Maybe I'm doing it wrong now. Can you hold high block and then press low block upon contact?Comment

It probably came up a lot of times already, but how do you survive full mount after being knocked down? The good old block and transition doesn't seem to work, since I get punched in the face before my transition completes.Comment

Don't transition after the very first punch. Block at least 2-3 then transition to half guard.Comment

Practice, switch stances. Hard to give specific active without video or something. Play some of the lighter weight classes maybe. In heavyweight ko's come fast.Last edited by Dave_S; 02-22-2018, 01:33 AM.Comment

Yeah, it's a shame there's nothing in the game like the knee Yoel Romero knocked out Weidman with. Would look more realistic than the one we've got, where fighters sorta look like they're jumping up to dunk a basketball.Comment

Re: EA UFC 3: Teach Me How To Thread: Tips, Strategies, Tutorials
I've lost all three fights to yesgumi (who i think is top 10 in the world). I've been able to compete on the feet (even winning two rounds from him once using Gustafsson - until he double legged me in the third and hammered me to death from top mount lol)
Is the only viable way to survive top mount, to try to get an arm trap? I try to block a few shots and transition out, but I'm never successful as my transition gets cancelled after a few strikes.
I try to stay calm and wait for grapple advantage to go my way (aka block a few strikes - get a stamina lead then transition out) but if I don't get transition blocked, a strike just gets me, and i end up stuck in mount.
Any tips for surviving mount? Or is it just 'hope and pray that the transition doesn't get cancelled?' lol
edit: I've seen a lot of people ask about mount, and the standard response is block, then transition, but against high level guys, it's just not working. Anything I can do as an alternative? Or is arm trap my last hope?Comment

^ Thanks, I was afraid of that lol. It's such a risk/reward thing that if one of them shots go through, you usually get pounded out with consecutive shots, but I guess I just gotta get the timing down.Comment
