Re: EA UFC 3: Teach Me How To Thread: Tips, Strategies, Tutorials
I'll be after 7central. I think our win/ loss record isn't currently accurate of our respective skills levels.
Couldn't play tonight unexpected company.
And if anyone that sees this thinks I talking trash, I'm joking about win/loss record, dudes better than me.Last edited by Dave_S; 03-31-2018, 01:57 AM.Comment

Re: EA UFC 3: Teach Me How To Thread: Tips, Strategies, Tutorials
I know it's been asked before and I've watched some youtube videos on the subject but not recently with the most recent patch.
What are your best strategies for these intense pressure fighters? Just in your face the whole time, constantly bobbing and moving their head just looking for that big counter (which by the way they need to add a real and decent sized stamina tax on constant head movement. It drains your stamina in real life if you were to do that so why does it not in the game? That would help stop so much of the head movement spam).
So whats the best strategy to deal with them? Just stand your ground, get your own head movement going where it almost becomes like just luck, whoever lands the first big counter wins. Or do you circle away, jab, try to create distance?
I've tried that but it seems they're able to always stay in your face looking to break down your block or catch you with a counter if you try to sway etc?
So practical suggestions?
ThanksComment

Re: EA UFC 3: Teach Me How To Thread: Tips, Strategies, Tutorials
I've been running into a lot of overhand spammers lately. Just I mean throwing an overhand almost every other combo.
So 2 questions. 1. If you can't beat them, join them hah. What are some good 2-3 strike combos that incorporate the overhand? I know the classic lead leg kick overhand as that gets abused a lot, but I'm looking for some other 2 or 3 strike combos that end with a nice overhand.
2. Whats the best way to counter these overhands? side sway? Just block? What do you do when faced with an overhand spammer?
Thanks!Comment

Sway toward the side they're throwing the overhand from. The punch will whiz right over your head and they'll be wide open for a counter.Comment

Re: EA UFC 3: Teach Me How To Thread: Tips, Strategies, Tutorials
Here is a simple tip...
How to deny a flying armbar from the clinch - RT/R2 and up on the right joy stick.
I see ppl all the time in ranked fights not know how to do that simple deny and then get subbed by a Rousey or a Thug Rose user.
Very easy!Comment

Re: EA UFC 3: Teach Me How To Thread: Tips, Strategies, Tutorials
When i try a takedown near the cage and my opponent denies it and his back is on the cage. How do i stop him from escaping that position if i don’t want to transition to over/under? (It’s the new cage takedown animation they added)
How do i deny that? what direction do i press? I haven’t denied that one time, but yet again i don’t really ever get to be in that position to test it out.
Any help????

Originally posted by AydinDubstepFound the audio & video section then set it to 4K RGB mode. Not sure if it's running 60 fps but the info button on the TV says it's 4K 60fps.. hmm... Looks nicer though!
Edit: I played it first on my gaming monitor with the controller plugged 1080p 60fps and goodness was it smooth!
Playing on a good PC monitor is always going to be better. It'll look smoother and more importantly you'll have way less input delay, which in a game like this, that's incredibly important. I'm thinking of going to get a nice gaming monitor just for this game because every time I've played on good PC monitors I play way better because of the lack of input delay. Much smoother and you're reactions and button presses are clean. Way cleaner and with much less input lag then playing on a TV, no matter how good the TV is.Comment
