    2. Listed in the contols in stand up/ grapple defense it says reversals and submission counters are L1+RS. What does this mean as i know sub counters are L2+R2+rs down ??

    Appreciate the help !! Thanks
Single leg and double leg takedown submission reversals are L2+R2 plus right stick down. The moves list says guillotine single leg reversal is L2+right stick down, but I can only get it to work L2+R2 right stick down.

Guillotine reversal from sprawl is L2+R2+ right stick down also. Kneebar reversal is L2+R2 plus right stick towards opponent, same direction you normally deny that transition.

Single and double leg takedown from clinch can be reversed.

Appreciate the reply and yeah guillotine has a typo.
Im aware of how and when to pull those off i was just curious if anyone has seen more.

Kk so L1+ rs doesnt do anykind of submission or reversal ?? I know that's how you sweep on the ground
just trying to figure out why they put that in the controls especially under stand up grapple defense

      Thanks.

The counter kneebar from standing might use L1, I can't remember off the top of my head. It's not a reversal though.

You can transition up in half guard bottom now. Gives you three options. Also as they hit you hit them in the head. Watch your stamina. Faking towards the open leg side sets them up for the side back take transition to the other side. Mix it up and don't panic.

This is a fight I had a little bit ago. I never tell people to watch my videos, but I'd recommend anyone who's having issues in the stand-up to watch this and see what's possible. It's worth watching all the way through. I was Frankie Edgar fighting a Nate Diaz user.

How do you finish a submission? Tried on the Rousey and the choke one for No Love about 15-20 times, almost got one to stage 5 but nothing too close

It does drain stamina but not too much.

Zombie the Game Changer posted this:

Stamina hierarchy for striking goes like this:
                  Clean strike = least drain
Blocked strike = slightly more drain
                  Whiffed strike = more drain
                  Evaded strike = most drain

So far i've found that the best way to escape mount is by transitioning to back mount when you're on bottom. Then from there you can transition to half guard. This is easier because the opponent has to land a strike on the same side you are transitioning to stop it.

Just don't get caught in a RNC with low stamina

Mount defense has been a bit perplexing for some reason this year.

Can someone break it down? I'm missing something

By the way, there's some kind of "arm trap submissions" in the game. I have found only armbar/triangle from sub Stacked Guard, kneebar from sub Postured Half Guard, triangle from sub full guard

The biggest thing Ive noticed about body shots and stamina drain is that its only super effective if the guy getting hit is at a stamina disadvantage, or below full short term stamina. If you dont get hit with counter body shots then the GPD suggested back lunge is great and also just patiently getting out of the way. Probably varies between fighters though.
