^ I would disagree a bit, in that there is more to cardio than just swinging shots. He is constantly feinting, darting in and out and setting his strikes up before committing.

It is parroted consistently that it takes a lot more energy to fight moving backwards, and its very rare that he isn't on the backfoot the entire fight prepping his strikes.

This seems to be true in EA UFC 3, although I could be mistaken, where I feel like my dashes/strikes moving back take more stamina. In which case, just the movement alone would get most people tired, but Lyoto keeps it consistent.

Movement in UFC 3 takes very little stamina if you're diligent about staying off the fence and don't have to chain dashes, I just think that putting Machida's stamina up would allow him to fight at an unrealistically high pace.

And as for there being more to cardio than just throwing strikes, that's correct, but fighters who throw volume feint, dart and set things up too, they just also throw more, like Wonderboy and Gustaffson throw almost double what Machida does and they move and feint a lot too, which is why I think output is the best way to look at cardio, although you're obviously entitled to disagree.

Derrick Lewis deserves gamechanger level 3 or 4.

        His overhand is ridiculous

He also deserves “to your feet” level 3 or 4.

His ability to get up is amazing. Dude just stands up when he feels like it and is done resting on his back. Being able to just get up against a grappler like Roy Nelson is no joke.

        https://www.reddit.com/r/MMA/comment...D3&sh=5622936c

Max Holloway also deserves at least 95 striking stamina. Fights at an insane pace and does not get tired at all

Garbrandy deserves untouchable level 4. His head movement is ridiculous. I know he just got KO’d but it happens against an opp like TJ

It's official, me and Haz deserve gift baskets. Got a problem with it, take it up with Kelvin.

87 doesnt make him "brittle chin man" though. It puts him in the middle of the division.
He currently has 19 guys with stronger chins dude. That's absurd. Diaz was koed by Thompson but his is a 95 (totally warrented). Just saying guys get caught. I stand by Gunner being a 90 chin. I can't recall another time he was rocked.

Then you compound that with his 85 head movement... 83 blocking... dude gunner doesn't get hit much. I just feel he's not justified in the stand up game. He's a pretty slick striker man.

              Valentina Shevchenko

              - Muay Thai combos upgraded from 3 to 5. Joanna is level 5 and Val beat her 3 times in Muay Thai fights back in the day. 16 time Muay Thai word champion

              - Add ground and pound perk level 2. If you saw her fight tonight then you know why. She outlanded her opponent 230-3, mostly with ground and pound as brutal as Khabib's.

              Nick Diaz

              - Add marathoner perk level 2 or 3. He has some of the best cardio in the UFC and literally runs marathons.
              - Add his signature taunt from the Condit fight that was in the first two games

Why does Aldo have steel checks? He doesn't actually check kicks, like ever. Take that off him and give him counter puncher level 3 or something because he's actually an incredible counter puncher

I don't think I can find a gif, but I remember him checking kicks. He seems to be very good at blocking while slowly advancing.

With his Karate style, he doesn't block or move his head much. He relies mostly on footwork and spacing to protect himself.

He ate 23 of 26 low kicks from Frankie Edgar at UFC 200 and 22 of 29 in their first fight. He can check kicks, like he's probably the best defensive fighter in MMA history, of course he can do it, but he's not so consistent at it that he needs a perk for it, especially when he's missing perks related to his head movement or counter punching which are massive parts of his game. If you want stats for his other fights, Mendes went 9 for 17 in their 2nd fight and 11 for 13 in their first, Lamas went 16 for 40, Zombie went 2 for 6, Florian went 16 for 23 and Hominick went 4 for 8.

And do other fighters have a significantly better percentage of checked kicks?

Currently he's a prime Chuck with a Maia level ground game (warranted). His stand up should be something you need to learn to put together and time, not as it currently is.
A prime Chuck? Do you mean his Stand Up OVR? Because his power is way lower.

Do you need a level 2 perk for something you only do 37% of the time when you're missing a perk related to arguably the biggest part of your game?

Yeah, pls add a stamina perk. It's not just the fact that he keeps going and going. It's also that his output is so high while not getting tired. People can't keep his pace which is why they eventually fold and get finished or have to do a lot of circling to slow down the pace of the fight.

His stat isn't that much better than the rest of the division as it stands so I think he should definitely have one. Nate even has a level 5 stamina perk.

I know this isn't a fight but a legendary video nonetheless.

I'm saying the speed at which he throws strikes, moves around and the punches he can take.

Werdum isn't that kind of striker. He's like Holly in that he rarely is the initiater as he studies his opponent and waits for openings (timing them well). The biggest thing that's wrong with Werdum is the movement speed.

He utilizes slow plodding movement and waits for a opening. He's far from accurately depicted in this game. Same goes for Alistair Overeem and his granite chin. The fact that Alistair's chin is higher than Nog's is mind boggling.
