Re: EA UFC Stat Change Request Discussion Thread
Cant say anything for sure when it comes to UFC 4. They could split the power stat up to kick and punch. They could change it to a 1-10 scale. They could eliminate the power stat and let the move levels determine the power of a strike. Who knows.
Also alot could happen before the release of UFC 4. Ortega could go on a run and prove he is the most powerful FW in the UFC. He could also fight 3 times and show a reduction and power and that the Edgar strike was a bit of a fluke.Comment

Re: EA UFC Stat Change Request Discussion Thread
This reminds me of something else.
Lightweight Max Holloway - Power 89.
It clearly showed he doesn't have the same power at LW and he struggled to hurt Dustin the way Dustin hurt him. Pure volume but none of that bite we saw against, say, Aldo.Comment

Re: EA UFC Stat Change Request Discussion Thread
A necessary repost after his performance against Munhoz now, and his performance against Rivera as well as a reminder that he DESERVES this buffs.
What a PHENOMENAL Performance from Aljamain Sterling.
Completely shut down Jimmie Rivera, outstruck him, doubled up on significant strikes, Sterling’s range management totally neutralized Rivera and overall finally got that top 5 win that he deserves.
Now, for his stats to get the respect that they deserve, ESPECIALLY because this is a head to head match up, and Aljamain showed that he IS at that level.
Striking:
Power 87 to 89
Dropped Rivera with a spinning back fist, and noticeable damage on the face of his opponents in this three fight win streak that definitely insinuate that he has more power than an 87.
Accuracy 88 to 90
Outlanding Jimmie Rivera, looked very accurate, and his low and high mix ups were great.
Blocking 86 to 89
Last few fights have shown how defensively responsible he has become post-Moraes, and was even using Ortega-esque elbow block defense against Rivera.
Head Movement 88 to 90 (the fight against Munhoz further supplements a head movement buff.
Footwork 89 to 93 (the fight against Munhoz showed how well he could fight off of his back foot, and against Rivera too with cutting him off)
Switch Stance 93 to 95 (might even argue a 97, he spent the fight in Southpaw mainly, alternating seamlessly from Orthodox to Southpaw with his strikes against Pedro Munhoz)
Sterling's best performance thus far, when he wasn't trying to stifle Jimmie with takedown attempts the cage, he was fluidly mixing up high low with his kicks and punches, his footwork was class in cutting off Jimmie, and overall warrants a change as well.
Grappling
ADD- Grinder Level 2
Clinch Grapple 88 to 92
Controlled Jimmie very well in the clinch against the cage with his under+overs and transitioning to double unders, how Rivera's clinch grapple is higher than a 2x D3 All-American is beyond me, but he showed in this fight he was well equipped to earn a boost there as well.
Stamina
Striking Stamina 90 to 92 (further supplemented by the pace he put on Munhoz)
Endurance 88 to 92
Outworked Jimmie, doubled the output in the striking and barely broke a sweat, held the same pace he started with. This is a gimme.
Now, looking at Jimmie Rivera's Health Stats, I have no clue why these are the way they are, I honestly don't think they should be that high, his health stats are better than José Aldo's, who's a much more proven fighter for obvious reasons, throwing that out there. Anywho,
Health (Aljamain)
Body Strength to 90
Leg Strength to 92
Toughness to 92
Heart to 90
As Aljamain said in his post fight interview,
"PUT SOME RESPECK ON MY NAME!"
Just saying:
This is how bad Aljamain Sterling shut down Jimmie Rivera.
A flawless performance from Aljo.
Please give the man the buffs he's earned - not deserve- EARNED in this head to head match up over a top 5 opponent who was likened to be the next dude to fight for the title prior to Moraes.

Re: EA UFC Stat Change Request Discussion Thread
José Aldo
Level 2 --- 3 Jab
Level 2 ---3 Hook
Level 2 ---3 Rear Hook
Level 2 ---3 Lead Leg Kick
Completely huge staples to Aldo's career, and they have been precedent in all of his solid performances.
Aldo is one of the most effective dutch kickboxers in the sport. He’s brutally powerful and fast, working in short, explosive movements that allow him to suddenly do huge amounts of damage.
He doesn’t rely as frequently on flashy techniques, instead dominating his opponent with smart boxing and his infamously punishing low kick.
At range, Aldo is a really nasty boxer. Since his first bout with Edgar, Aldo has relied on the jab more often. He uses the punch masterfully, jamming his opponent’s attempts to close the distance with ease. He also feints the punch well, allowing him to land the punch more accurately and throw off his foe’s head movement.
Aldo is known for his tactical movements and pivots, and prior to the aforementioned rematch with Edgar in UFC 200, his first fight with former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar that it became a focus of his output.
The first round of their fight was a clinic in the jab, and that was the story from rounds 1-3.
Whenever Edgar attempted to lead, Aldo would fire a piston-like left hand as his opponent cut an angle, repeatedly landing flush. With the exception of a right hand into a takedown in the second round, secured off of a caught low kick, Edgar was never anything even resembling competitive in rounds one and two.
- Solid use of the Jab with Aldo against Mendes in their Fight of the Year.
The Straight Left Hook (2-3) is a common combination Aldo throws, and it makes absolutely no sense for his left hook to not be at the same level as his straight.
Aldo dropping Mendes with the aforementioned Straight Lead Hook.
(Feels good that my gifs now show!)

@Romero
Still waiting for Jeremy Stephens to get Tree Chopper Level 3, among other things (something, something, Cerrone). Also Moraes should get much more than just a guillotine - Tree Chopper LVL 3/4 and a knees to the body and head for starters.Comment

Re: EA UFC Stat Change Request Discussion Thread
Rafael Dos Anjos
Toughness 89 to 90
Chin 88 to 91
Heart 88 to 90
The dude has ONLY been knocked out twice in his ENTIRE Career, I don't know what warranted a drop in Chin/Toughness out of nowhere, considering that he went up a weight and beat Saffadiene (a big WW), subbed Magny (6'3 WW) and outstruck Lawler of all people, for 5 rounds. The man threw some boxing combinations in that fight that warrant a Level 3/4 boxing combos. Lost 48-47 to Covington, was able to even take down Colvington twice, and really, the lost to Usman was much more of a grind. Even so, he never gave up, fought off his back as much as he could, for the first 3 rounds showed solid defense against the cage with regards to handfighting, nearly got the Kimura at one point, and dinged Usman with an Upkick from Satan himself. Never did he give up.
Also, there is something extremely wrong with the combo list of RDA. His boxing and MT combinations have been absolutely fluid over the course of the last few years , especially showcased in the Cerrone Fights (1&2) , Pettis Fight, Saffiediene and Lawler fights, etc etc.
Boxing should be a Level 3 as mentioned before and his Muay Thai Combos should be at Level 4, he hit that double leg kick combination on Pettis and beat Cerrone head to head in the stand up not once, but twice in their own respective discipline.EA Sports UFC GameChanger

Re: EA UFC Stat Change Request Discussion Thread
Twas an elbow that set up the finish with Frankie before the Uppercut and when it was tit for tat with the boxing exchanges Frankie was winning the majority of them despite being the smaller man, and Guida was out striking him pretty well + mixed with the grappling until the knee due to the adjustments from Ortega's Corner. Where Ortega has good blocks, his striking is moreso from pressuring with distance and occasionally blocking with his face and trying to land hard shots. He was also getting outstruck by Moicano and his boxing is CLEARLY behind Max's based on what we saw.
And we all know how it was going for him against Cub, was getting visibly outstruck again until he pulled the well known Ortega magic we love him for.
He's a Jiu Jitsuer fight with decent fundamental boxing and some unorthodox striking, it doesn't warrant him Zabits Moveset or Max's boxing.EA Sports UFC GameChanger
