Re: EA UFC Stat Change Request Discussion Thread
@Romero, I don't know if you remember but a while ago we had a short talk about Cruz' leg health and whether his leg health should drop due to his foot injuries.
We did talk about Dillashaw kicking him hard and you said that his injuries have never caused him trouble in the cage. I agreed then as I also felt it was the leg kicks that slowed him down but I've rewatched the fight since and after it he said the kicks were good but the real issue was that his foot was basically split in half or something like that.
I don't know what his leg health is at the moment, I just thought that based on that info his leg health maybe could be dropped by 1 or 2. I just thought I'd mention it.Comment

His leg health was a 90 now it's an 89 IIRC, If they drop it to 88, then they need to at least do the man his respect with regards to his switch stance from 97 to 99 since he and TJ are both equally proficient in stance switching, plus Cruz essentially pioneered the switch stance style in MMA, and up his sub D to a 90, since he had only been subbed by Faber who is well renowned for his Guillotine, and he neutralized all attempts in their follow up two fights. Also I don't know what happened to his High Altitude Perk Lvl 3.
On top of that, upping his move levels, specifically his jabs and Uppercuts and leg kicks to level 3s and kicks to 2s respectively. The high stamina means nothing if they cost just as much as somebody who has a lower skill ceiling than Cruz, yet has the same level strikes as him.
You also have to note how great his footwork is then since he's able to move the way he does despite his foot being the way it's described. I need to check if his footwork is higher than TJs, because it should be, or at least the same.Last edited by RomeroXVII; 06-28-2019, 04:23 PM.EA Sports UFC GameChanger

I always imagine in-game Cruz being extremely proficient in what high-level players apparently call running (for example much poorer tracking when you swing at his head and he lunges/moves his head and moving around very quickly).
Whereas his weak spot should be leg kicks and perhaps another possible way to beat him should be body strikes. Not because body strikes are an issue for him in real life but because you can't move your torso after all and it would be wiser to aim for that area rather than the head. Of course, the possibility of him knocking you out should be slim to none and picking him should mean the player has to be prepared to go the distance.
Leading with him shouldn't be too effective (no idea how that would be achieved) and the player should look to annoy the opponent and force them to chase, which would result in the aforementioned strengths to shine.
Dunno if I went on a tangent here, I may have. I just keep thinking about making these guys as unique as possible.Last edited by Kingslayer04; 06-28-2019, 04:55 PM.Comment

Re: EA UFC Stat Change Request Discussion Thre Tuad
Luke Rockhold
Chin 87 ----> 86 not mandatory as it already is low but every punch staggers him at the very least, and that's hardly and exaggeration. I did wonder whether his chin was crap or he just has very bad defence but it's both.
Blocking 89 ---> 88
Head Movement 90 ---> 88
Footwork 94 ---> 91
Reason: he uses none of these adequately, especially for defence. The first two could easily be 86 actually.
Some might say I'm being harsh, etc., but as someone who'd like everyone to have pronounced strengths and weaknesses I can't really ignore what I'm seeing. If there was a fight IQ stat Rockhold's would have plummeted to the ground but there isn't, so multiple individual stats should suffer instead because his poor fight IQ leads to that. The guy has so much potential but he's a complete idiot. His stats in-game reflect a 2015 post-Weidman Rockhold, not 2019 Rockhold. It's also astonishing how he gets to train with guys like DC and Khabib and nothing ever changes in terms of his attitude.
I can completely understand if people don't want to jump to conclusions too early regarding stats e.g. I do believe Cain should get 80-81 leg health rating as his knees are shot and are giving out on him inside and outside of the cage and I stand behind that but I get why aholbert wouldn't want to rush it. However, this isn't early anymore for Rockhold and these are my 2 cents.Comment

Re: EA UFC Stat Change Request Discussion Thre Tuad
Exactly, the dude has been check hooked to death in 3 of his last 4 fights, he doesn't really move his head, he seemingly forgets what to do with his arms when he gets hit and his footwork is.. well it's definitely not what I'd call at 94.Comment

Re: EA UFC Stat Change Request Discussion Thread
Oh boy, here goes:
Leon Edwards
Power 92 to 91
Striking Speed 89 to 90
Head Movement 86 to 90
Footwork 88 to 90/91
Clinch Grapple 86 to 90/91
Takedown 85 to 89
Takedown Defence 86 to 91/92
Top Game 84 to 89/90
Bottom Game 84 to 91
Submission Defence 87 to 90
Striking Stamina 89 to 91
Grapple Stamina 86 to 91
Endurance (was that for Stam Recovery between rounds?) 88 to 90
Body Health 85 to 90 (haven't seen him struggle with that, dunno if he has in the past)
Source: vs. Gunnar Nelson and vs. RDA
Incredibly well-rounded fighter with lots of fight IQ. He's supposed to be a striker but his grappling performance against Nelson impressed me so much, completely negating such a renowned grappler. He did the same against RDA, this time initiating the grappling himself too, and still dominated him completely.
PS: I saw that the Nelson fight was a Split win, don't remember how that happened, my memories from it are mostly Edwards' great grappling. Anyway, yeah, he deserves a huge buff.Last edited by Kingslayer04; 07-21-2019, 01:05 PM.Comment

Re: EA UFC Stat Change Request Discussion Thread
) Power striking isn't really Edwards' style from what I've seen. 90 would also be okay in my opinion.
As for the Nelson fight, I should maybe rewatch that. I still think the guy has very good defensive grappling, I remember being Impressed with it in the Nelson fight and his overall grappling really cemented itself as impressive in my book after RDA.
Anyway, you're not nitpicking, we're here to discuss. Do you like the suggestions overall?Comment
