Man ...ain't it funny that it's the people with no respect for the beauty of this game and spam **** that win the most ...I take my time to input some beautiful strikes and all someone just has to do is move their head and uppercut ...

        And spam hooks ...

Rinse and repeat ...they will just stand and not move ...once to strike they move their head .

Oh well it is what it is .

Your opponent can stand in front of you and you hit him with an uppercut and a hook nothing happens .

You make an effort to play realistically ...but that won't pay at all .

It's just head movement ...counter vulnerability fishing .

Fighting in southpaw is my absolute favorite thing. There is so much you can take advantage of that no one does. As long as you aren't fighting another person in southpaw this stuff will work. It will also work if you're orthodox and THEY are southpaw.

First off, you need to be able to throw your combinations out of a southpaw stance as well as you can from orthodox. This is just a practice thing. Pick southpaw fighters and work on playing with them. Most guys have a switch stance stat in the 80's, so if you pick a southpaw fighter and immediately switch to orthodox, you are losing a lot of power.

In a southpaw vs. orthodox engagement you have options you don't normally have when circling out to the opponent's lead foot:

You can circle and throw a single straight and it will be faster, stop an opponent from throwing a strike, and avoid strikes coming from the opponent's rear hand (especially straight punches).

You can throw a lead leg kick while circling and it will have all those same properties.

You can throw a lead hook while circling and. . . well you get it.

A rear hook while circling will leave you more open to attacks, but it will get a damage buff.

Once you get those single strikes down, you can now start throwing two strike combos. Like a lead leg kick - right straight while circling or a rear straight - lead hook. If you're really confident then you can even throw a rear overhand while circling to the lead foot for big damage.

Play around with those strikes while circling to the opponent's front foot.

            I can't figure this out.
You can't duck or sway when blocking the first two strikes of a combo. If you haven't preemptively swayed and avoided their first strike, you're better off just blocking and backing up until they're done. Or you can wait till after the third strike and try to duck under.

The back lunge generally only works when you use it preemptively. If you try to back lunge while already blocking, it's likely to not register. If you use the back lunge in kick range while they're closing into punch range, it is very effective.

You really just have to hover over the right stick ready to deny. Uppercuts stop the clinch and seem to do the most damage when catching them, but if they have any sense of timing it's going to be very hard to catch them (especially with how fast the clinch comes out with fighters like DC and Khabib).

The best way to fight against them is to make space and use jabs and straights to the head and body. Occasionally adding hooks or uppercuts to the combos. Just watch your stamina, be very careful, and never let up the paranoia that they're gonna clinch you.

R monkey ...I think I finally got the hang of catching these head spammers ...just like you said throw single round shots to the direction of where they tend to move their heads.

I couldn't stop laughing I was catching this dude repeatedly with the right hook as he leaned to my right ...wow ...thanks mate .

I'm not perfect yet at getting them but I'm working on it .

Thanks man ...you and Dave _ s are the best .

                Keep it up .

And just imagine I ain't even got the live tuner yet ...and I'm caching these dudes .

Yeah, what I meant was to punish someone after you deny the clinch attempt. They go for whatever entry, you deny, try to punish with. Strike or two instantly but they can already block. Is it just a 50/50 in trying to land a quick shot to head or body?

You aren't going to be able to land shots to the head after the denial anymore because they patched it.

You are better off throwing a double hook combo to the body.

I actually do as well. I like when guys are aggressive so the guys who sit back are really a nuisance.

There is no good answer for this. If you want to win you're probably gonna have to lose a little bit of the fun of playing regularly.

You just have to get a slight advantage in the points and back up/wait for them to come to you. I will often start a round off with a leg kick from out of range and then immediately start backing up to the fence. This often leads to stagnant fights that go to a decision. You must be patient. Don't give into the temptation of chasing them. Ever.

If they end up getting a lead over you on points, you'll have to roll the dice and chase them to try and get a 1up on them again.
