    I think higher stakes = more intense, rewarding gameplay.

    As far as realism goes, I think this should be fight ending most (and I mean 95%) of the time. This kinda thing just snatches me right out of the game:

      That was normal, too.

      Did you read GPD's breakdown of the damage system in a blog he wrote a while ago? The idea is making the simulation have enough complexity so that the big spikes of damage don't feel too predictable, even though they are consistent. The system is very organic. Some small details in that clip could have resulted in DC going to sleep.

        You’re kind of playing with semantics there. It’s “normal” as far as the game mechanics go. It wouldn’t be normal IRL to see Vitor Belfort counter anyone full blast like that twice in a row and it not result in a KO. It would be impossible.

        I have literally read everything I could about the game.

        The entire foundation of the game itself is incredible. It’s the best MMA game ever made hands down bu far. I played all of the Undisputed games religiously and this is miles ahead.

        The damage system needs tweaking. I understand the issue with the thresholds for rocks. Im sure if we get creative we can find a solution. Damage regen def needs to be looked at at the very least.

          UT being so unappealing to me this year was a blessing in disguise because ranked is absolutely where it’s at and I wish i had played more of it in UFC 2.
          This explains the posts we’ve been seeing. All coming together. Not trying to be a dick either. I was just wondering what skill level you were at because you didn’t seem to grasp the mechanics of striking.

            That example was about side vulnerability. On the first overhand, you hit on the less vulnerable side, same side of the execution of his upper. The second overhands landed after you got hit.

            If we made all of this stuff peak teh damage and rock people, the sudden rocks wouldn't feel as special.

                I UNDERSTAND THE UNDERLYING MECHANICS OF THE GAME.

                This is the precisely the issue I have with the game. That’s not intuitive at all. You’re justifying an unrealistic, immersion breaking “gamey” mechanic.

                For the last time, please stop explaining the game mechanics as though I don’t understand how they function. I do.

                  I think Cormier would be able to take those shots from Vitor and not get KOed. He took a lot of clean shots from heavyweights in his career.

                    I feel like asking for lunges to lose the delay when chained with other techniques is a getting to be a lost cause it's something I've been wanting from day one but you seem to be the only other person that brings it up
