I was guessing that people voted twice for UFC 3 too, but just a guess. I understand that Zuffa has/had the code for UD3, one would think this could have been transferred to EA though. They have really done well with the striking though this year. Would still like to see FNC style, 360 degree head movement though.

Hold up. Why is the assumption that people who voted twice for UFC3 and not both? Also do you think someone would create a new account (risking a ban once the system recognized they had 2 accounts) simply so their choice can win an OS poll.

Here is reality: We arent going to see a UD3 system in UFC3. We arent. GPD and the team are going to improve the current system and there may be some elements that were in UD3 that are used in the current system.

As for a potential UFC 4, I think it will be more of the same. As you can see from the poll, pretty much half like the current system and I believe that if there was an option "Keep UFC 3's system but add UD3 elements" that wouldve likely won.

In the past, other polls for this showed UD3 winning by a slight margin so I just assumed there was some sort of trickery. Makes sense that this wouldn't happen though due to the severe consequences, didn't really consider that.

That's great that they will build on what they have. That's probably the best way forward anyway. Hopefully this at least shows that there are elements from UD3 that should definitely be borrowed

Its funny because the poll itself is two options, UD3 is unfairly represented here. UD3 mechanics would win for sure though.

we dont want a grappling system built on meter filling and grapple advantage. you have to pre deny most transitions. the system is stagnant visually unappealing and nonresponsive.

How is it unfairly represented? The question asks what do you prefer UD3 grappling or UFC 3 grappling. Its pretty straight forward and it appears that the community is split. If anything, this question speaks directly to the mechnaics of each system because when it comes to depth of animations and things like GNP power, I think its clear that UD3 has the advantage. This question speaks to the mechanics of each system and it appears the community is split.

"We" equals maybe 50 percent of the people who voted here. Its hard to make an argument that the "community" wants a change when barely even 50% of this small segment of the community says they want it.

Yeah, thats a high estimate. Anyway its a waste of time to discuss. The team isnt going to scrap the entire grappling system. They may make changes to it though.

I dont know about that. The actual question on the poll says "UD3" and I think people have either played UD3 and know how it works or they can watch videos. I dont see a majority of people stating that they prefer the old system.

30-29 in favor of ufc 3. Got to love when a guy makes a poll hoping for one thing and the reality is another. Then people go on to make excuses for why the poll ended up being the way it is. It was worded incorrectly bro.... gtfo with that crap.

News flash boys....ufc 3s grappling system is not getting scrapped for Undisputed because it’s not wanted enough. I for one am so excited about that.
