EA UFC 4 GPD Tweets
So many fresh new features, game changing features, new modes, innovative changes that people asked for , grappling changes ,fluid strike to grappling changes, ragdolls , improved career mode, fresh new way to play ranked , UT wasn’t all that so they took it out (don’t blame them more important things to work on) ,more character creation options that we asked for , emotes ,new animations and much more dude like a lot more. They used their time wisely to bring the best version of this game to everyone and not waste resources on areas that Is a risk and could be loss.
all I see is negativity about beta not dropping after UFC 251 (Idc because it might drop today or Monday 🤷🏽*♂️either way it’s whatever not gunna complain about it and move on), we wanted news and many complained about not being informed but when we are informed with really good info dump people find ways to cry. Haven’t been part of this community super long and I’m already looking around saying “WTF” and doing a lot of face palms at comments. Pride requires so much and has been dead for years but maybe a vale tudo organization could do, “universe” this isn’t wrestling. yes I get it we all want franchise but let them find their identity before RISKING resources on modes that people might not play long term. This game seems very promising, a lot seems to have been done and it finally feels like the devs working on this game is finally finding their rhythm.
Not everyone is being negative and I been part of some pretty good discussions and I love it but the hate is ridiculous given all the much needed work in areas that needed the most attention.Last edited by Jizamurai; 07-12-2020, 03:23 AM.Comment

Re: EA UFC 4 GPD Tweets
Brian Hayes said they have added a number of new ground animations (perhaps meaning a number of whole new positions or new animations for already existing positions?), while Geoff said he's only "aware" of a single new ground position while not being fully responsible for the ground and sub department. Confusing to know which statement is legitmate, or what the case will be? But if true, i fully share your frustration which i've been quite vocal about.Comment

Re: EA UFC 4 GPD Tweets
@Gpd did you guys put ragdoll knockouts back in the game before you left or is it just a update to make the knockouts more realistic? Congrats on the new job with Sony Santa Monica alsoComment

Re: EA UFC 4 GPD Tweets
How can backyard/kumite take up a long of time? its literally just cosmetic arena... we already had striking only modes.... its just a simple rule change to what you can use to fight with....what they need another year for "punches only mode?" i mean come on... thats ONTOP of not having to work on UT......
I know teenagers that can do something like this in 6 months if they got paid in their mothers basement....

Re: EA UFC 4 GPD Tweets
I don't think I realized how much clinch changes could impact this game until I realized during the Usman Masvidal fight that we can't really have matches like that in UFC 3.
Maybe we could have matches like THAT in UFC 4 now. A slow grinding, Randy Couture type of fight. I'm actually starting to get more and more excited thinking about recreating these slow grinding type of fights!
Edit: Maybe the Usman Masvidal fight is a bad example because it was "boring" but think more Couture vs Gabriel Gonzaga type fights.Last edited by MacAttack33; 07-12-2020, 02:07 PM.Comment

My point is, you don't really need a video game to recreate Usman/Masvidal.Comment

Re: EA UFC 4 GPD Tweets
I never realized that ragdoll KOs were even in UFC 3. I just assumed they were absent since I knew there was some degree of discord from the community after UFC 2. Personally i loved them, made each KO unique even if some of then were a "little" over the top. I had(still have) hundreds of KOs from UFC 2 on my hard drive and, although the stand up was much improved in UFC 3, I sure did miss saving tons of beautiful knockouts......only saved maybe 15 or so from UFC 3 because frankly, the KOs just didnt look all that good.Comment

Lol, I hear you that was an awful fight for sure. Masvidal gassing gave him no chance to break away and make it exciting either.Comment
