There are others who I'm not sure if they want in, don't know what system, or if they have internet setup's.
We'll just keep this rolling to keep an idea of who's in. When the time comes, a ps3 guy will have to assume the commish role. For 360 I'll do it w/ some help from others or let someone else handle it if they're really into organizing lol.

What I'm thinking is that after we all have the game, we can do a quck and dirty UFC 1 -style elimination tournament - from there we can discuss how we want to proceed. we could do running ppv-style events where you only fight once per night (or once per fighter if users have more than one weightclass represented). And have user record and rankings - the old-school tourney can determine initial rankings and give us a champ etc.

Or we could go a different route and keep tournament style going, and even have seperation for each weight a user is involved with, and CAP's and so on.

One thing I'm a bit confused about is how we'll handle fighters. If we play tournaments and hold a draft before each one, that's fine. But if we draft a fighter for multiple sessions - we would need some kind of 'season' to end. I like the idea of having tournaments for the UFC fighters, and after we've had the game for a while - continue that, but have a side league of CAP fighters that we rank more like the modern UFC in reality. This way - using real UFC guys will rank the gamer by having w/l and ko's etc., but the CAPS will be ranked by the atual character.


I'm saying all this because we probably won't want to be stuck w/ one real UFC fighter for too long, and switching fighters will be more about who's the better virtual fighter than who you lucked out in drafting.

Anyway we've got heaps of time to sort this out.

I agree with your PPV style idea, but it shouldn't be one fight per night. It should be one fight per weight class every night and that way everyone ends up fighting once per week. That will make it more realistic because it will give you time to find out your next opponent's strengths and weaknesses and train against the A.I. or friends to work up a strategy.

P.S. Will you be able to watch other fights in the tournament? Maybe if we are in a huge party everyone can watch the fights of the night. That would really give it a PPV feel.

Would love to see someone take the helm of the league and run it sort of like an wrestling e-fed, except this one would be for the UFC. Could have a PPV per week beginning with our very own UFC 1. Have someone that is willing to keep track of all the wins and losses and do booking based on that.

Lol, you gave me a flashback to when I ran an ewrestling league in the late 90's. Good idea though, w/ create a player online there could be tons of options. It would be kinda cool to do a team/camp concept similar to IFL to mix it up. Have fighters grouped in a camp w/ other members and they gain the team points for wins. If would make the league interesting because you not just playing for yourself, but your team/camp as well. Also it would draw interest to other fights outside your own.

Anyways, if we ran like an ewrestling league, we could use a match maker, stat keeper, etc etc. Definately an idea we could run with.

I can host the site. I was planning on starting a league for Fight Night similar to what you guys want to start here. I would be willing to run the site for the UFC league. I would need some help running the league. If anyone wants to work with me to make this thing happen let me know.

Like mentioned before I'm thinking we should only be allowed to have one fight per event. Also for people that can record video to their PC's it'd be cool for the website if we had video highlights. I'm not able to but I'm sure there are a few people in the league that could.

Depending on how in-depth you want a website to be you could have a members section with bio info or something, just for ****s and giggles.

Just throwing out ideas, possibilities are endless.

Joe Silva is the actual match maker.
As long as results are posted with mention of how the fight went (wich would be needed if you can't watch anyway) I can do that. As I'm not able to participate in the actual playing I would be unbiased.
