That guillotine for wrestlers to get off the bottom may work against most people since they mash buttons to get off. It won't work all the time. You should just practice transition blocking/reversing, and transitioning to better positions.

Yes that is the technical way of geting out of a sub. Than there is the brute force way which is the buttons (A,X,Y) which has a better chance of getting out of a sub, but it puts you in a not so good position afterwards. The technical way if you get out of the sub puts you in a good position afterwardsComment

If you flick the right stick when facing the downed opponent and press X or Y you will do a lunging punchComment

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
OK guys, how do you stop BJJ practicioners from dragging you down, pulling rubber guard, and then reversing you and mounting you?
I try my hardest to transition block but it seems like it just doesn't work. I always lose after this position. Yeah, sometimes I can reverse them back and end up in their guard, but they always end up pulling guard, then going rubber, then reversing and mounting me in a flash.Comment

Transition block - I know you said it's not working, but that's what you do. Hold back on the stick, and don't allow them to pull their leg up. As soon as you've blocked it, I would transition to another position or stand up.
If they get you in RG, don't let them flip you - again, just transition block, then transition yourself.Comment

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
Everyone has strengths on the ground.
BJJ - Can sub guys even on their back. Plus their rubber guard + Major transition that sweeps to full mount is deadly. Best on their back, Great on top as well.
Judo - Throws to side control are deadly, plus some of the sweeps to standing are key - Middle of the road both on top or bottom.
Wrestlers - They are best to work from guard. The slam from guard the full posture up does big damage. Their full mount is very hard to get out of also. The worst of the 3 on their back. Best on top.Comment

What's the timing on a transition reversal? Is it just as you see them starting the move?Comment

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
What I'm really strugglin with is when you play someone who takes you down and is in your guard and just holds the transition block the entire time. Being on the bottom I would think its not too beneficial for me to throw strikes from here so how can I defend this, stand up, or at least improve my own position? Even in practice mode I'm having a hard time getting out of guard from the transition block, the only counter I've figured out right now is locking on a lucky submission when I pull the head down.Comment

You have to make sure his bar is very yellow, initiate the sub and shine or button smash.Comment

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
ok, you want to submit somebody, noble gives you very little info, first off, depending on who your using will tell how easy it will be. now, preferably i use rashad just cus its fun, and i submit the hell outta people, i'v submited so many, people think they know what i'm going for that my knock outs are catching up cus they dodge on being submitted, you want a submit in first round, first off let them through there strikes, block, grapple, and throw down, reason for using rashad each time you throw them down they loose energy and stanima, or if they figure out what your doing to them, tackle them and pick them up and slam them, once there energy is gone and they cant regenerate it fast, get on top of what you want to submit, hold right on your right stick, make sure there is very minimal energy, and submit, i get it everytime, mash all the buttons if your a masher, and spin the **** outta that stick if your a spinner, so far i havent found an advantage other then if you could accually get outta it you could get on top of them. well, message me if you need some help, add me as a friend on xbox.Comment

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
it kinda sucks but either flick your L stick, or catch one of his punches or kicks, muay thai is a bit harder but same concept, i find it easier to use the L stick,Comment
