For body shots and leg kicks, you can hold LT before you do the step move to make it easier to execute the move -- otherwise you have to quickly press LT and then strike after stepping, which is pretty tough.

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
For those of you struggling to submit someone: Turn on the stamina bar (I know its arcadey, but it is a good learning tool). Watch it closely during the fight. Notice what moves take away the most stamina, and take note of the visual clues that the fighter gives when he is low on stamina. Go for submissions when the fighter is almost out of stamina. After a few fights, you should be able to turn the bar off and realize when the opponent is submittable.

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
If you've got it turned on then the best time to try and submit is when it's yellow. The longer you can block transistions the lower it will go. Green then red then yellow. The bar itself is health.Comment

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
incorrect, both are a stamina bar, but you have recoverable stamina, and unrecoverable stamina. unrecoverable stamina can be recovered, but only between rounds.Comment

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
I need mad help with my ground game. I can't seem to ever get either fighter in the full mount. Yet both can get me in it all the time. I have gotten a full mount before on chuck but he holds me next to his chest. How do you break away from him so I can reign down on him from the full mount. Also I can't submit him at all unless I am on default level. His stamina is gone and everything. I have tried mashing and stick and neither seems to work on advanced. Please help me with my ground game. Oh also how do you transition to their back so I can slap on the rear naked choke. Thanks fellasComment

When you get on the ground, pause and go to Action list. From there you can find your transitions. It has really helped me figure out how to move around in the ground game.Comment

I have a huge problem when trying to get the mount. I cannot get the stick right or something...to do the major transition. I wish I could, because I can get to side control with ease.Too Old To Game Club

I can get there but can't break his hold when he pulls me to his chest. And I have no idea how to get control of his back either. Doesn't tell me how in transition list I dont think.Comment

As mentioned before, the best way to find out is by pausing when you're in a position you want to know more about.Comment

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
OK. I almost woke the kids because I FINALLY got a submission.I'm using Rua. As many folks have said, the pause menu is your friend. Both of our stamina bars were in the pale/dark green color almost getting to the red. I put Chuck in the Muay Thai clinch, then pulled him on my back. Quickly went to rubber guard. Quickly did the sig minor transition to back control (maybe it's side back control...I'm too amped to remember exactly). Quickly hit R3 for the rear naked choke. Spun the stick about 2 times per second and Chuck tapped out 7 or 8 seconds later! Man I'm pumped!

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
After three hours of playing this, I'm very impressed. Unfortunately, like many others, I'm having HUGE troubles trying to get Chuck to submit. Maybe I'm confused as to what I'm supposed to do. I'm in every type of offensive mount you can possibly be in, with Chuck's stamina bar empty, but he reverses it every single time. I'm fed up and finished for the night. It's frustrating. I'll even have Chuck dazed (where the screen changes), then go for the submission and he still reverses it like he has the energy to even do that. GRRRR!!!!!! Trying to get a submission off is WAY too similar to doing a finisher in WWE/WWF games of the past. If it's too early, it's an automatic reversal.Last edited by Acedeck; 05-01-2009, 05:24 AM.Comment
