Happy to see Gilbert back, but this TUF thing probably holds up the title until the end of the year.

Re: OS MMA Random Thread
Yep but it not like LW had a clear title picture. Aldo didnt seem to want to vacate his title. Grant is still hurt. Bendo is out of the title picture right now. Also someone on Twitter just reminded me that Eddie Alverez will probably be in the UFC by the time this fight happens. Gives the LW division some time to create new contenders.Last edited by aholbert32; 02-24-2014, 02:14 AM.Comment

Re: OS MMA Random Thread
Sucks that the fight is at the end of the the year. Nobody cares about no damn TUF. Pettis wouldn't have been able to fight until Summer anyway, but now this pretty much guarantees only one fight for him in 2014. If they could have fought in August then Pettis could have taken another fight possibly at the end of 2014 or right at the start of 2015.Comment

I think people will care about this TUF. It's going to crown a champion in a new women's division.Comment

Re: OS MMA Random Thread
Speaking of the Scrap Pack, Nick Diaz is still saying that he's not fighting again unless it's for the title. I know he doesn't deserve it, but if Robbie Lawler wins the strap I'd love to see a rematch between the two. They could really hype that fight up.Comment

Re: OS MMA Random Thread
I would lose my damn mind if Diaz got another shot straight after losing to GSP. That would be his second title shot in a row coming off a loss AND he was offered the Condit fight at 172 which was pretty much a #1 contenders fight.Comment

Re: OS MMA Random Thread
Agreed. It would make no sense and be a joke. The winner of Woodley/Condit and even Shields/Lombard would have a MUCH better case of getting it then him.

Dana White bans TRT in the UFC period.
Minutes after the Nevada State Athletic Commission unanimously approved a motion to ban the practice of awarding fighters a therapeutic use exemption (TUE) for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) in the state, the Ultimate Fighting Championship followed suit.
UFC president Dana White told MMAFighting.com on Thursday that the UFC will no longer allow fighters to use TRT when fighting on cards in which the UFC serves as the governing body. That typically happens when the UFC holds events overseas in countries that do not have athletic commissions in place.
"We follow Nevada," White said.
White, who had been vocal recently about the dangers of TRT, expressed extreme satisfaction that the NSAC finally banned the controversial use of TRT.
"[I'm] pumped!" White wrote via text message. "Couldn't wait for that garbage to go away."Comment

Re: OS MMA Random Thread
Dana had some choice words for TRT. Interesting.
TRT should have never been allowed to begin with. Other states should follow. It wouldn't make sense if they didn't.Comment
