Arloski was added to the UFC 174 card. He will be fighting Brendan Schaub in Vancouver.

I've always liked Arlovski. Feeding him to the wolves with a guy like JDS is crazy, but Schaub is fine. Maybe now that Schaub/Hunt is on the backburner we can see Hunt/Big Country.

A big LOL @ the head of WSOF being mad because fighters using his promotion just to get a better UFC contract. He said he will not tolerate it anymore and not let anybody else get out of their WSOF contract just to go back to the UFC or to any other promotion.

I am surprised that he is SURPRISED fighters would be quick to jump ship if it meant fighting in the UFC. Who wouldn't want to fight in the UFC ?

Whats funny is that with the exception of some of the young talent like Moraes and Palmer, I dont think that the UFC wants anyone else in the WSOF. Guys like Shields, Guillard, Fitch, Palhares and Guillard already had their UFC runs.

If you haven't seen it, Jones hasn't signed his contract and the Gus fight may be at risk. DC has said he will fight Gus for the interim title until Jones signs.

I think Dana is full of it. There is video from the UFC showing Jones' manager coming into UFC offices to meet with Lorenzo to negotiate a new deal during the lead up to the Barao fight. Still its crazy he asking for Cormier.

So were they trying to work out a new deal for Jones or not?

All week I heard Dana say, more than once, "we are working on getting Jones a new deal." Did those talks go sour (big surprise) and now Dana is basically saying "screw it" and just trying to get the next fight signed, finishing out his current contract, and worry about the new contract later?

I don't care what Jones says. He beat Gus in that fight, at first I thought Gus won but I realized it was my dislike for Jones clouding my judgment, I watched it again and can freely admit with confidence that Jones won. It was even after four and he won the fifth.

THAT BEING SAID, Gus beat him into the ER. Gus sent him straight to the hospital. I don't care what anyone says, I firmly believe that Jones does not want any part of that man if he can avoid it. He hated the Jimi matchup and wanted him to fight someone better, and of course now he wants Gus to fight someone else.

Olympic wrestler or not, Jones has a huge reach/length/distance advantage over DC and must feel like he can gameplan for the MMA wrestling (hope DC likes a palm in his face for five rounds) rather than gameplanning for having to eat some sick strikes from Gus in order to beat him. There are number of times when beatings have changed a fighter for awhile. Condit changed Rory for a while. You see it all the time.

My question is, when did fighters get to call their own shots? Doesn't the UFC have a matchmaking system that the fighters basically follow to a certain extent?

Also, I have voiced my displeasure with Jones antics and attitude in the past and I will say it again. This guy has "Little Brother Syndrome." You can tell. The way he talks in his snotty videos, his mannerisms. This guy was the nerd growing up. His brothers were football stars and he wasn't. He was the guy doing karate and stuff like that, which as a kid, is no where near as cool. Now that he's huge and a big star he is always trying to overcompensate for being "the dork" of the family growing up. This is typical and pretty generic childhood psychology. He "isn't gonna get pushed around anymore," isn't ever going to get "overlooked" ever again, in his mind.

When I look at it like that, everything he says and does makes sense to me.
