Defeats DC and then goes on to defeat cocaine addiction in a day. GOAT.
Seriously though, I haven't seen any information out there that proves or disproves that he has a serious problem with the drug. Hopefully this incident will make him get his **** together.Comment

Coke use in MMA isnt as rare as people think. I have good friends of mind who witnessed Chuck Liddell do all sorts of drugs back in his heyday.Comment

Re: OS MMA Random Thread
Yeah, I always thought rehab was just for press. I dont know many coke addicts who can do coke on December 8 and stop doing it for a month leading up to a fight. He's probably a casual coke user and has the bad luck that NSAC accidentally tested for it out-of-competition.

Jones is still very young. Not excusing what he's done at all but I am hoping he saw this test as a wake-up call (maybe The Rock should have him on his show?) and he can find a better circle of friends to hang with.Currently Playing:

Re: OS MMA Random Thread
Yeah, I don't see Jones being like Liddell, who was definitely headed down a dark path 6-7 years ago. It's really something that Chuck was able to compete at the level he did for so long because he certainly got caught up in the party scene.

I don't think it's anything to worry about and he'll probably cut it out because he got caught - but really I think a lot of media (talk radio here) is making way too big of a deal out of it. And because of the relationship fighters have with the UFC, I don't agree with NFL comparisons with people saying the UFC needs to crack down on him, as long as he's in shape for his fights and fulfills his obligations in the octagon and promotional obligations, just let it go.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: OS MMA Random Thread
Nate Diaz got paid $16K for his last fight. Even if he had gotten a win bonus and hadn't been docked part of his purse, that's still peanuts for a guy like him. UFC blows and so does whoever negotiates his deals.Comment

Re: OS MMA Random Thread
Really? He's a mid level fighter. He's beat some names like Maynard and Cerrone and a ton of losses to named fighters.
Diaz has a name but not one that headlines cards or gets ppv sales. I could see him getting more like 30/30k but he's right around what mid level fighters make.Comment
