Ugh. Not a fan of this. Cain held up the division forever and got finished. Why give him the rematch?

      PPV sales probably.

A Werdum/Miocic fight isnt exactly a PPV seller. Arlovski is a name but there is a chance that he loses to Mir in September.

Word. I'm cool with seeing Arlovski, Miocic, JDS, Mir or Rothwell all getting in the championship mix in 2016. The heavyweight division is still interesting to me right now, but I'm hoping we see some young guns come in eventually and start making some noise. It's pretty much the old guard at this point.

Cain isn't a PPV draw though.

Cain's numbers have always been decent though except for the Werdum fight. Rematches typically sell better than the first fight too. Removing the Lesnar fight, he's always done between 350k and 600k. Now those arent Ronda Rousey, Lesnar or GSP numbers but they are decent numbers.

There's also an argument that Miocic/Arlovski need at least one more win to justify a title shot.

Anderson Silva really embarrassed himself today with that entire case "defense" at the NSAC. Should've just fessed up immediately; he'd be fighting by the end of the year.

Didn't keep up with the case today, but they're saying he's able to fight January 31, 2016. Not really too far off. $380 K in fines, though. Sheesh. The NSAC stays making bank.

Helps them pay for their testing program. Once people stop using after someone gets suspended for multiple years, they might run out of money since the fines will dry up.

I saw somewhere that the UFC was still holding his pay until this was settled, so he just got a nice paycheck minus the small fine.

It was an embarrassment. They would've given him 9 mos if he just said "I was concerned about my leg healing and I used something I shouldn't have." His testimony was so inconsistent that they hit him with the worse penalty they could.

Puts his whole career under a shadow being that this was the first time he had ever been randomly tested.

Nope. I'll be interested to hear why she got the shot and meisha didn't.

Tate didn't know anything about it, great job UFC, another professional move.

The only thing I can think of is that Ronda didn't want to fight Tate. Edmond is already saying Ronda would win a boxing match, fat chance Ronda only strikes.

Holm has a chance because of her movement and game plan, but she will have to win a decision unless a jab can stun Ronda and allow her to throw a head kick. I don't give her a real shot because she has no power, she is a point fighter. She also has no top 10 wins.

Another Ronda opponent who hasn't beaten anyone. UFC is trying real hard to give the Ronda protection conspiracy teeth.

This will probably be better for Tate. I think she needs some more training as she has been improving, Ronda won't be able to say no again. Keep improving your striking and you may have a chance.
