Prelim fights are a waste? Jesus... They are there for the fans who attend, for fighters to work their way up the ranks, to fill up PPV time if the main card fights end quickly, and most importantly to let the fighters who aren't as good fight to get paid. Holding events costs money when it comes to production, paying for and securing a venue, ect.... It only makes sense to hold a large amount of fights at each event. The UFC makes their money from PPVs, not free events.

I'm looking forward to this card. Randy vs. Nog excites me even though they're both mad old. I don't care, I still want to see it.

I have a feeling Nate will walk through Maia. The Jardine fight will suck IMO, but I'm curious to see how Vera and Krystoff look against each other. That should be a really good fight.

I'll probably see it in a bar, though I may end up being busy so I can just watch it later...Not really that hyped for it overall, no "must see" fight for me, at least not one big enough to devote a whole night to.

I just realized I'll be in Vegas on the night of the fight. I'm sure there will be some place to watch it.

I feel the same about the entire card. Nate vs Demian should be interesting though. I think I'm more hyped for the Juan Manuel Marquez fight than this card.

Nog looks like he's 40 something and Couture IS 40 something. Hope it doesn't turn into Coleman/Shogun. I'm looking forward to Krzysztof/Vera and Jardine/Silva should be a nice slugfest at least.

Of course they are, but you can't only be interested in fights between two guys in their prime, right? This fight isn't the the type of once-in-a-lifetime clash of legends in their prime it could have been five years ago, but it's still a very good fight. And if you can't get yourself hyped up for a very good fight merely because it's not a legendary fight, you're missing out on a lot, man.

I agree...look at the chuck vs wandy fight...it was even pretty high up on ufc's ultimate 100.

Just got my new schedule and my first day is this Saturday...and I just moved to P-Town! It would have been cool to go to one here after going to one in Vegas.

                      Oh well.

Well I know I said I wasnt going but Im half tempted to just buy some real cheap tickets just to go and experience it as there really is no guarantee they will come back anytime soon. Has anyone gone to these fights and sat basically in the nose bleeds, and if so, was it worth the investment or at that point would it make more sense to be watching it on television somewhere?

Should be a good fight then.

If one was past their prime and the other was in their's, then it would be less anticipated.

I hope we get to see the Aaron Simpson fight. He gonna smash Ginger Ed.

And I'm off Saturday now. I'm gonna buy a cheap ticket and just go for the heck of it.

Same here but just a heads up as you can get seats in the 200 section for 100.00 right now on comcasttix.com. I dont know if this was the original price or not but it seemed like a good deal and as of a little bit ago the tickets were still available.
