I doubt that, based on the fact that they booKd Simpson who was fighting a hometown fighter in Ed Herman? That's a stretch and if they decide not to come back then that decision was made prior to tonights event as, from my understanding atleast, the event sold extremely well.Comment

Well I'm glad it sold well though out there.Comment

Re: UFC 102: Couture vs Nogueira
The crowd is pretty bad - they're booing perfectly good fights, and booing at times when fighters are doing some good work.
They sound like a bunch of idiots; but that's pretty common at MMA events.Comment

Yeah there were a few too many people boo'ing when guys were in the clinch against the cage but nothing so over the top that Dana wouldn't come back. Last numbers I heard were 13,000 tickets sold which seems good but I'm sure someone else can correct me if I'm wrong on that.Comment

Duffee had a ton of hype going into this fight. Young, big, solid muscle, great camp. Definitely a guy to keep an eye on.
I'm really surprised how well the heavyweight division is coming along. A few years ago, it was pretty bad. Now there's at least a dozen respectable guys, ranging from 'good' to 'who the hell is gonna beat him?'Comment

And ticket sales have been solid, but probably not good enough to put Oregon back up near the top of the UFC's list. There's all sorts of places the UFC wants and needs to go to, so I'm guessing they'll come back to Oregon eventually, but it might not be for a year or two.Comment

But like I said I'm happy to hear Portland embraced the UFC.Comment

I'm amazed it didn't take Buffer 10 minutes to say "Antonio Rodrigo 'Minotauro' Nogueira".Comment
