BJ's RNC was a thing of beauty...The way he was heel kicking Kenny and then just snapped the submission on was just great.

Re: UFC 101: Declaration - August 8th in Philadelphia

Silva is not going to want anything to do with GSP since he has a superior ground and pound game.

We all knew that anyone willing to stand in front of Silva was most likely going to get knocked out. It shouldn't be any surprise that he picked Forrest apart as he is much slower and doesn't really move out of the way.

GSP has proven time and time again that once he gets you down, it is over! Serra, Hughes, Penn are just a few of the victims of his ground and pound. All three are world class ground fighters and GSP made them look silly.

Travis Lutter and Dan Henderson exposed Silva's weaknesses on the ground. When Lutter was in full mount, he had nothing left to knock Silva out.

Now it is being reported that Silva wants Machida which would probably be a very boring fight as both would run from one another for 5 rounds.

When GSP fights Silva in the future, he will need to immediately get him to the ground. If he tries to strike with him...........GSP has no chance.

Probably the best fight for Silva right now in his division.

Silva submitted Henderson and Luter on the ground. His ground game is very good. He just doesn't use it much.

It's certainly very good, but GSP's ground-and-pound might be the best we've ever seen. In fact, as otherworldly as Silva's striking is, GSP's wrestling and grappling might be just as otherworldly.

That's why GSP would have a serious chance in that fight. Certainly Silva would have a great chance to knock him out, and he'd have a good chance at submitting him if he did wind up on his back, but if GSP were to end up beating Silva by taking him down repeatedly and controlling him from the top, it wouldn't be surprising. In other words, there's a way for GSP to win that fight, which is more than could be said for someone like Forrest, who didn't have the right style to really threaten Silva.

Yeah, that was really stunning. I've never seen anyone snap on a RNC like that.

Keep in mind that Silva kicked Henderson in the head which dropped him to the ground to start things off.

Lutter on the other hand got sloppy in his guard but was beating the crap out of Silva prior to that. Dan pounded Silva for the entire first round and then like a dummy decided to stand and strike with him for the 2nd round.

I think Dan knows how to beat Anderson this time around and that is on the ground.

I wonder when Dana will schedule this fight. Technically he could schedule it for 103 being that Silva wasnt hurt in this fight but i dont think he will. Maybe 105 in Europe or 106 in Memphis?

Machida vs. Silva would be epic. Superfight of Superfights.

There's some speculation that Silva might be considering giving up the MW title and fighting at 205.

I was there last night and while there weren't many moments of brilliance and a majority of the fights went to a decision, I'm glad that I saw BJ'S RNC and Anderson Silva at his best.

The one thing that I will take away from last night is how loud it was when Griffin was walking out. It was deafening and the entire section I was in (121) was singing that song. Then Anderson comes out and gets booed as bad as you can. People said they were booing him because A. Boring fights B. They like Forrest C. Silva has apparently signed a contract to fight Roy Jones Jr. and is leaving when his UFC contract is up.

ANYWAY, after the knockout and Forrest's dash to the back, the place TOTALLY reversed position and gave the man his props. Silva looked like he wanted it last night and knew that Forrest was outmatched. Forrest's gameplan was just mindboggling. Silva didn't get knicked and Forrest got caught two or three times badly...the last one ending it all.

I've never seen a man turn every "boo" into a "yeah" like I did last night.

                          On a side note, I wasn't booing, I was saying "boo-urns".
