Yeah Anderson is just that god damned sick when he wants to be.

      BJ is pretty good too.

UFC 101 left me feeling unsatisfied. The Silva/Griffin fight was a total bust IMO, and the Penn/Florian fight was the only one I was feeling all night. After the Silva/Griffin letdown, I think I was just too pissed off to enjoy the ME like I could have.
The Silva/Griffin fight was the most impressive performance I've ever seen by a fighter in boxing or MMA.

Yeah, I don't get people being down on Silva/Griffin. Sure, it wasn't a 15-minute, back-and-forth war, but those kind of fights are to be savored, not expected.

Instead we got what should be one of the most memorable fights in UFC history. Silva totally occupied another level in that fight that was nearly unthinkable, even for Silva. There's no possible way I can be disappointed after seeing that.

Edit: From the video it looks like the Bond is fighting another girl. All I saw was the blonde when I was there.

If my girl got ejected for fighting right before the Forrest and BJ fight, I'd seriously consider meeting her after the fight. Her BF must've been pissed!!!

When I was at 100, some chick threw her drink like 20 rows down and got ejected before the prelims started. What an idiot.

Thats what I was telling Z. For the amount of money I paid for those seats, someone could try to start a fight with me and I wouldnt have retaliated. Now I would have hanled it after the fight but no way I'm throwing away 200 + bucks.

You might want to pass on the next few main events as they will not be as exciting if you are comparing to UFC 100. Keep in mind that they loaded that card just for the 100 significance.

Re: UFC 101: Declaration - August 8th in Philadelphia

im a little late on this but i dont see the hendricks/sadollah stoppage as that big of a deal

yes the ref stopped the fight a little early, but johny had him rocked. although amir was standing up he wasnt doing much to defend himself and i think he wouldve have continued to get punished for a few more seconds before getting dropped again. if i remember correctly, he looked pretty dazed after he did get back to his feet and im pretty confident he wouldnt have survived much longer had the fight not been stopped.

so i guess the bottom line is the fight was definitely stopped too early but i dont think it ultimately affected the outcome. just my opinion though, i might need to watch it again

It definitely effected the outcome. Who knows what would have happened when Amir managed to get back up.

Not saying you're wrong in that the other guy could have still won, but it definitely changed the outcome of the fight; could have been a 3 round war or an instant KO, who knows.

                    Definitely stopped too early, though.

well, the ref had the best view and he stopped it based on something he possibly saw that we couldn't see on tv.

He actually had a terrible view. He was behind Hendricks and couldn't even see that the shots on the ground weren't hitting him, or were just glancing off the back of his head.

He stopped it before he could get a good view and really see what was going on.

I'm just assuming. I think it was stopped too early but who knows if the ref saw something. It's happened before (stopping fight too soon) and will probably happen again. Maybe they will have a rematch.

I kind of expect one every UFC event; seems they've been happening quite a bit, and there have been a few rematches lately of bad stoppages.

yes, sadollah couldve gotten back up and kept on trucking for three rounds, im not saying thats out of the question; it definitely couldve been a possibility, but from what i saw keeping that fight going wouldve just been prolonging the inevitable.

it does really suck for amir since that was his first fight back and as a fan, i wouldve like to see that fight last longer and i would LOVE to see a rematch

Ah. I saw it pretty differently. I thought Sadollah looked great on his feet, especially with his kicks. He just got caught being too aggressive for a second.

I think if he got back up and cleared his head for a second, he would have been fine. He actually looked really sharp for the 20 seconds we got to see.
