Name one they've developed that's main evented a PPV,won a significant championship or is at least well known whos last name isn't Emelianenko or Mousasi (even then I'm not sure he'd be considered well known).Comment

Re: Vadim: "We want to develop MMA. The UFC won’t be able to control the whole world.
how can Vadim be a Scumbag when a guy like Fedor sides with him?, Vadim has been around MMA since 1997 when Dana was still an aerobics instructor and didnt give a damn on MMA. Vadim's M-1 global has been developing fighters and the sport in the grass root levels and not doing this PPV money making stuffs like all these American ORGS are doing just for the sake of money. M-1 global's agenda eversince is to develop MMA worlwide and give exposure to Internationally unknown fighters... Vadim > DanaComment

Not sure if this is allowed in a snakerattle/Fedor lovefest thread, but here's Yahoo's Kevin Iole laying it out...it's Fedor's fault now if he's not in the UFC. Dana's made great concessions, now Fedor has to:

Ortiz said the reason he opted to fight in the UFC is simple: Competition. "Who was I going to fight there?" Ortiz said. "I want to fight the best."
It's too bad Emelianenko doesn't have the same attitude.Comment

Re: Vadim: "We want to develop MMA. The UFC won’t be able to control the whole world.
M-1 is absolutely out of their ****ing minds. Check this out:
They want half of the UFC's profits for any event Fedor appears on. That's ridiculous. They say they're taking the risk and putting up half the money, but there's virtually no risk involved in any UFC card. They all turn a great profit. And they are essentially demanding that half of that profit be given to M-1.
M-1 has Fedor for only 3 more fights. I doubt Fedor signs any deal outside the UFC that extends beyond these 3 fights. So if this deal doesn't get done with the UFC now it surely will after these 3 fights. Fedor's hands are tied right now and he pretty much has to agree with M-1 since he's under contract and M1 has made him good money outside the UFC.
Personally though i think it's a mistake if his management group doesn't make this deal happen because if he happens to lose one of these 3 fights outside the UFC his stock is going to drop dramatically and both Fedor and M-1 are going to be left out to dry. I think this deal eventually get's done and there is just some gamesmanship going on right now.Comment

Re: Vadim: "We want to develop MMA. The UFC won’t be able to control the whole world.
For that deal to make sense just in a strictly short-term financial way for the UFC, Fedor would have to bring in twice as many buys as would have resulted without him on the card. Considering Fedor has headlined three PPVs in the US which combined for less than 20% of what UFC 100 did by itself, you'll have a very hard time making that argument.
Seriously, I don't remotely understand why you think a largely unknown Russian who speaks no English and has zero charisma would be any sort of draw in the UFC, let alone a draw worthy of the UFC giving up half of an event's profits for.
You have totally lost all sense of objectivity when it comes to Fedor.Comment

Re: Vadim: "We want to develop MMA. The UFC won’t be able to control the whole world.
What the hell does the UFC have to gain by co-promoting? These other organizations have a lot to gain and virtually nothing to lose while the UFC will gain squat. Screw Fedor, let the guy sit out there and fight cans until he retires, if the idiots at M-1 think the UFC should open their doors and split the revenue 50/50 then they are complete ****ing idiots.Comment

Re: Vadim: "We want to develop MMA. The UFC won’t be able to control the whole world.
That is not an unreasonable deal at all as long as Fedor remains champ. Let's be real, besides the Lesnar fight and even then really it's going to be Fedor selling the events as long as he's winning.

What events has Fedor sold? Does he have a PPV thats even done over 500,000? Lesner has 3 that have done over 750k. To be honest, I think Fedor would be the fourth most marketable fighter in the UFC behind Lesner, GSP and Chuck. There is no way I would do a copromotion with a fighter who isnt bringing in that much of an audiance.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

I don't even agree with that. Look at Anderson Silva. He came in and tore through one of the most popular fighters in the UFC twice and he's probably the worst draw of any top fighter in the UFC. Dana White has been telling anyone who will listen that he's the #1 P4P fighter, he's been an exciting fighter to watch for the most part, and he's still not a draw.Comment

Only he's not going to be champ of anything if he signs with the UFC. As I said before if they don't strip him of that belt Dana would throw it in the garbage first PPV possible or have a special showing on Spike just to trash it.Comment
