I hope Rashad beats Rampage, because I want Rashad to fight Rua. Rampage has already been destroyed by Rua, and I do mean destroyed.

      That was five years ago.

Just because he destroyed him once, which was in a league with completely different rules and regulations, you don't want to see a rematch between two of the best LHW's in the world?

And faking injuries may not be "illegal" but it's disrespecting the sport just as much, actually you could argue worse than, Daley punching Koscheck after the bell.
AND the eye poke or possibly eye pokeS. I forget how that one went exactly.

I wasn't condoing it,I was saying he deserved it,not that it was right to do on Daleys part but KosManu deserved it,would've been nice if it landed clean. Not for anything he said but for pulling this faking crap again and that's why I'm not mad at Daley for it but fed up with Kos' crap. As BlueNGold said it's just as disrespectful and this is at least the 3rd-5th time he's done something like that and as yet to be punished, not only has it not been punished it's pretty much been rewarded as it very well may have helped him win especially in the Rumble case. It may not be against the rules but it should be and shouldn't be tolerated.

I'd also like to say something about the knee itself. I don't think the intent was an illegal blow. I think he was trying to hit him on the way up as happens all the time,Stephens did it to Stout about 5 times in their fight.

Luckily that's the only gold he'll be getting.

And what's funny is 2 of the ring girls got punished for calling him out on it yet he's never been punished.

Re: UFC 113-Machida-Shogun 2, May 8th in Montreal.

"I’ve had a long flight home to consider my actions and regret the mistake I made on Saturday. I would like to apologise to the UFC and the Athletic Commission for what I’ve done as well as all the fans and sponsors that support me. I would also like to offer my sincerest apologies to Josh Koscheck who did not deserve the cheap shot I threw. He did what he needed to do in order to win the fight and get the job done, and I foolishly reacted to the situation.
There is no excuse for my actions and I know what I did was very unprofessional. I was immensely frustrated by a collection of things that took place throughout the fight as well as leading up to it, but I’m certainly not trying to condone or excuse my actions.
Josh implemented his game plan perfectly taking me down and staying on top of me for the majority of the fight. I was also frustrated about him claiming (and acting like) I knee’d him in the head on the ground when it was clear for all to see in the video replay that I didn’t connect at all with the knee I threw.
Then finally, the verbal abuse Josh hit me with in the final 30 seconds of the fight simply pushed me over the edge and my frustrations came out as I knew I’d lost the fight, was unhappy with my own performance and had then been ridiculed by my opponent to top things off.
This is certainly no excuse for my actions; I fully deserve to be punished for what I did and hope that everyone I have disappointed can forgive my rash decision. I feel very disappointed in myself for losing my cool and hope that I am able to address my temperament and bounce back from this low point in my career.
I feel ashamed and embarrassed by what I did and hope that together my team and I can get through this issue. It will be a long road back from where I am now to earning the trust and respect of the UFC and the MMA fans that have supported me for so long, I know I’ve let you all down but I’m determined to make it up to you all."

yea Kos said on MMA Live he said some pretty nasty things to Daley in those last 30 seconds. They asked if he talked about his momma and he said, worse. I'm curious as to what he was saying but we'll never find out. I can understand his frustrations with Kos acting like he got hit with the knee and then saying stuff to him on the ground but there is still no place for that in MMA.

I still hate Koscheck though. He's one of the guys i hate the most in MMA.

Nice to see at least some remorse from these guys, I still think Kos is a huge d-bag. Daley definitely messed up but he realizes that he let his anger and frustration get the best of him, which I'm sure any of us can understand given the high intensity situation. Definitely NOT excusing him for what he did, and he deserves what happened to him, but at least it seems like he is going to learn and grow from this. He's a talented fighter and it would be a shame if he let this get in the way of reaching his potential. I'm sure he'll get picked up by another org.

I want him to stay in the UFC. He didn't hit him that hard...not making excuses, but UGH!

Kos even admitted saying nasty things to him after he had the fight in the bag. why would he be doing that? screw koscheck.

Overall I thought it was a great card. I'm a Belcher fan, so I thought that was great. The main event was great I just wish it went to 2 rounds (over too quickly) I worry for Kimbo's knee. I kind of wish Matt didn't kick him there and just won without doing that. His knee's are messed up.

Not sure what Kimbo's going to do. He made a name for himself by basically fighting on the street with boxing rules.

Everyone in the UFC/MMA knows that he's weak on takedowns and submissions, so they're not going to trade hands with him - which is his strength.
And he gets far too gassed from the wrestling aspect.

The dude should look into fighting a bunch of 4-rounders ala Butterbean.

Meh, you can't go try and hit someone after the bell, period. Doesn't matter what Kos said in the least. The fake knee strike move watch bitchmade like it was last time, but Daley also shouldn't be throwing a knee that's clearly illegal.

The stuff after the fight was totally inexcusable, and no amount of apologizing makes it any less ridiculous. Especially after the Strikeforce thing and how Dana was teeing off on them about that, there's no freaking way he can allow Daley back, at least for a LONG time.

                        Also: SHOGUUUUUUUN!

Love seeing the Pride guys do well... now if only Wandy can get back on track... Also, I watched the Best of Pride and they had the Shogun-Arona face-stomping... old Pride rules always give me the heebie-jeebies when I see a guy catching knees to the top of the head or face stomps, but *** **** was Shogun furious with those allowances. Looks like he's finally getting comfortable with the UFC rules and getting back into that kind of form... it's so awesome he's only 28 too, he should still have a bunch of great fights left in him.

I'm upset that only 1/7 Canadian fighters won. But overall you're right, I thought that it was a good event, nice showing from Sam Stout too, Belcher looked great though.

What I think is funny is that it seems the general consensus is most people hate Koscheck more than a guy that actually got himself kicked out of the UFC, haha.

7? cote, stout, goulet, mc-peg-city-holla! (cant remember name) ... who else? I saw the whole event while super tired from working sat and sun I had to wake up at 4am and worked until 9pm sat and 7pm yesterday...so I slept from 8pm until 11am today. 3 canadians must have been on the prelims right?

Belcher did look great. He is improving too which is good. Him calling out Anderson is really calling out for attention. Belcher's weaknesses that I see are his speed and 'sturdiness' at times. What I mean by that is he takes too long getting ready and balanced. If he were pounced on in those moments where he's not ready, he'll get knocked around/taken down. I see someone like Marquardt or Sonnen totally dominating him on the ground. He needs more work before he fights those top dogs. The speed problem will always be there though - either way I like watching his fights, and like how he brings it with the Muay Thai.

The peg-city guy was very impressive against Lawler. I mean that was heart and come-back ability. I was digging Lawler's mustache though lol.

Who will Machida fight next? I see him just winning his next two and getting the famed 'rubber match' with shogun.

In the future I'm really looking forward to seeing brock/carwin and rashad/rampage

fight not made, but that I would like to see more than any other in the UFC is Hardy/Alves.
