Re: UFC 113-Machida-Shogun 2, May 8th in Montreal.
Me and a friend were saying he got caught, but I was saying it was looking like Rua was doing a good job of going at it w/ Machida before that. I thought the only thing Machida had going was his couple take downs.Originally posted by MoJust once I'd like to be the one they call a jerk off.Originally posted by MoYou underestimate my lazinessOriginally posted by Mo**** ya

Argh...I don't feel like doing this, but what the hell
If this is the fight w/ the guy w/ the tattoo of Cash, I said that was a good fight. If not, I don't remember this one then.
Surely you seen my post celebrating Rua
So it's a good fight b/c of post fight antics? so a good fight b/c of things that didn't happen in the fight. I'm sorry, I saw a man get dominated. boring.
Ok, I'll say 2.

Re: UFC 113-Machida-Shogun 2, May 8th in Montreal.
According to Dana, Daley said he threw that punch after the fight because he didnt know the fight was over and didnt hear the horn, lol. Im sorry, but thats such a huge lie its not even funny, he literally had to walk around the ref to get to Koscheck, what did he think the ref was doing when he was in his way then? It also came out that apparently Daley was eye gouging Koscheck on the ground late in the fight, this according to both Koscheck and Dana. Im glad the guy is gone if this is how he conducts himself under these circumstances, eye gouging is illegal in the UFC, throwing a punch after the bell is illegal and that knee he damn near landed on Koscheck when he was down is illegal so clearly he let his emotions get the best of him tonight.Comment

Re: UFC 113-Machida-Shogun 2, May 8th in Montreal.
Quick Thoughts:
- I'm a bigger Machida fan but I'm happy for Rua. I thought he won the 1st match so the belt belongs around his waist. The 205 pd division is simply stacked right now. We got Rua, Machida, Jackson, Evans, Jones, Couture, T Silva, Franklin, Davis, Bader, Lil Nog, and Griffin. And of course Andeson Silva might be joining 205 next year.
- Good riddance to Daley. In the locker room, Daley told White he didn't hear the horn. White knew it was a BS answer so he cut him. That was the only decent punch Daley threw all night. I cracked up when Kos cut his heel promo after the fight. Taking a shot at the Habs in Montreal is easy cheap heat but it works. After watching the replay I have no idea why he went down, he didn't get hit by a knee or grazed anywhere. The bottom line is that the fight sucked. Kos (like Fitch) had top position for his most of the match but never even tried to finish the fight. People may say GSP is boring but at least he tries to finish fights.
- I'm surprised Kimbo was cut. I would have kept him around for at least one more fight for business reasons. Now of course he looked horrible against Mitrione. Kimbo was out of gas after the first round. Kimbo vs. Fedor on CBS in 2011?
- I thought Belcher won his fight at 100 so I have him on a 5 fight win streak. His fights are very entertaining to watch so I believe he deserves to be in the title mix. Before the slam, I thought Cote looked good.
- Stout has 3 straight FOTN bonuses now. The match against Stephens wasn't as good as the Lauzon fight but it was still pretty entertaining.
- We didn't get the Buffer 360 tonight but we got Buffer in French......
- Best of luck to MacDonald in his recovery.
- I thought it was a good but not great card.Comment

Re: UFC 113-Machida-Shogun 2, May 8th in Montreal.
Come on. Fedor would absolutely destroy Kimbo. Kimbo would be a sacrificial lamb to Fedor. Kimbo would be gassed after the first takedown / exchange with Fedor. He has absolutely no endurance, cardio, or stamina.Comment

Re: UFC 113-Machida-Shogun 2, May 8th in Montreal.
So my internet was down most of the day and I missed out on this (although whatever stream I used was probably going to die out anyways, lol). Is there any way I can see a replay of at least the Machida/Shogun fight before I get it spoiled? If so PM me so I don't have to read any of the posts here and spoil the results.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. Re: UFC 113-Machida-Shogun 2, May 8th in Montreal.
Cote was looking good in round 2 until that slam.
Mitrione showed some nice skills but I still remember his crap on TUF so still don't think much of him. This is now the second guy to steal Matt Hammil's entrance song. Why would you steal a deaf guy's music? The hell is wrong with these people?
I had Stout winning. Round 1 for Stephens,2 for Stout though thought it could go either way and round 3 was for sure Stout. Don't know what that judge that scored it 30-27 was watching.
I'm not mad at Daley. **** Koscheck,he's the one I've had enough of. Throw his *** out not Daley. If anyone ever deserved to be punched in the face post fight it's him. I would've DQed him for pulling that **** again. Fitch should be getting the shot/TUF coach job after that display as boring as he is.
Far as the main event, well I didn't see that one coming. Rashad must be estatic right now.
Someone is mad.

Re: UFC 113-Machida-Shogun 2, May 8th in Montreal.
Glad to see Dana cut Daley. I guess its not that bad that he's not in the UFC game now.
I can understand people being upset at Kos for acting on that downed knee, but Daley still threw and illegal strike, so it was his fault in the first place. Kos was just taking any advantage he could.
Excited to see Shogun win the title, as assuming he could hold on to it for a few fights (or at least keep it away from Machida/Lil Nog) we could see Silva vs. the LHW champ.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: UFC 113-Machida-Shogun 2, May 8th in Montreal.
Well I ended up seeing Shogun/Machida and the 3rd round of Koscheck/Daley on Youtube. Of course that was AFTER that fact I seen who won those fights in the post fight talk with Goldberg/Rogan.
Koscheck/Daley might as well have been named "Battle of the Douchebags" because both guys acted like douches post fight.
Awesome to see Shogun get the belt that should've been his months ago. I'm not really a Shogun fan but I was pulling for him to win this fight and knock Machida out. Nice to see he did that. BTW THQ, that is how KOs should be done.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: UFC 113-Machida-Shogun 2, May 8th in Montreal.
After listening to the pre-fight interviews, I like Koscheck's attitude more than Daley. Koscheck seemed to take all the trash talk in stride, talking about it in a 3rd person view type of way, where Daley you could tell really hated Koscheck, and really had some pent-up anger towards Koscheck.
And I thought Koscheck fought a much cleaner fight and won without hitting too many strikes, just using his wrestling and grappling skill, and had some good footwork.
I actually gained a lot of respect for Koscheck. Sure he edged the Montreal fans on after the fight, but he didn't take any cheap shots against Daley.
Daley fought dirty, with eye gouging, attempting to knee a grounded opponent, and the blatantly post-fight punch. I mean that kind of stuff is totoally out of bounds. Nothing Koscheck did was out of bounds. It's all to hype the fight. Frankly, I'm glad that Koscheck won and even though he is a heel, he's not annoying. He's actually funny and has some good skills in there.Comment

Re: UFC 113-Machida-Shogun 2, May 8th in Montreal.
Funny, because when I made that post it was before I seen Koscheck fake ANOTHER hit from a knee. The guy is a ****ing joke, plain and simple. I can't wait till GSP beats the hell out of him.Last edited by BlueNGold; 05-09-2010, 05:08 AM.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. Re: UFC 113-Machida-Shogun 2, May 8th in Montreal.
Anyone else find it kind of funny that the man who built his career on countering the moves of others got knocked out by a counter attack when he decided to be the aggressor? I do.
Anyway, I kind of had a feeling Rua could do it having fought Machida before; he's the only one who'd actually had experience against his timing and movements.
I'm curious when this LHW belt is going to be defended more than once. Seems like it likes to move around.
And F Anderson Silva. The last thing I want to see now is that guy fight. I have no desire to see the guy go for the 205 belt no matter how impressive he's looked at 205. I'd rather him defend his belt against Sonnen and then promptly **** off. I'd rather see the established 205'ers continue to go at it as if Silva didn't exist.
As for Daley, glad he lost. As much as I can't stand Koscheck, Daley was even more obnoxious. Looks like that won't be a problem anymore, however. As for GSP vs Koscheck; kind of pointless again. What is Koscheck going to do? He can't out wrestle GSP and he sure as hell can't stand with him. I could see GSP keeping this one standing, though, so maybe more people will be entertained this time (even though the GSP/Hardy fight was great).Last edited by MC Fatigue; 05-09-2010, 05:19 AM.Comment

Re: UFC 113-Machida-Shogun 2, May 8th in Montreal.
Honestly, it did look like he was faking it at the end of the first round from the replays, as the knee looked like it grazed Koscheck and didn't hit him flush. But, it's very possible that there was an eye gouge moments before that that actually hurt Koscheck. (i didn't see any replays of 5 or so seconds before that missed knee)
So you may be right that he was faking there, but even if he was, faking an injury in MMA isn't technically against the rules. Throwing a knee aimed at a grounded opponent is illegal, eye gouging is illegal, and throwing a punch after the final bell is illegal. That's the point, and I agree that both guys do things to make people hate them. Koscheck is definitely a heel, he definetly wants to be hated. But in the actual fight, besides potentially faking an injury (which may be true i don't know), he didn't do anything illegal.
There's a reason why Dana White banned Daley from UFC and praised Koscheck. Dana White also called Koscheck a "dick", but as far as what happened in the fight, it was hard to tell if there was an eye gouge in there before the knee that caused Koscheck to carry on like that.
So, he may be a joke, but in the ring, he's a much more well rounded fighter than Daley. Daley has no grappling skill whatsoever.Comment

Re: UFC 113-Machida-Shogun 2, May 8th in Montreal.
And yeah, most people want GSP to beat the hell out of Koscheck, but that's kind of what Koscheck is going for. He wants the fight to be as big as possible. People will watch hoping that he gets knocked out. And yeah GSP will be the heavy favorite, but I think Koscheck will give him a better fight than Daley would have. (because Koscheck is a good wrestler and has good takedown offense and takedown defense and is good in the clinch)Comment
