In a way, that's kind of scary. I think with all his antics, people forget how great of an athlete Kos is. He's not better than GSP, but I give him a shot. In that gif, you can see not only Koscheck going into his fight defense as he sees Daley, but look at his right hand rise as soon as Daley's shoulder drops. That's superior athletic reaction time right there.

    Kos vs. GSP: The Wrestling

Before the last fight, Koscheck severely underestimated GSP's wrestling, and only trained his striking. Word from his camp is that he all but refused to train his wrestling, thinking that his standup deficiencies were the highest priority. Now that he has seen GSP's prowess on the ground, he will train very hard in wrestling, and likely be more of a match on the ground. It'll be interesting to see what happens when a world class wrestler like Kos focuses on that element, and if it makes any difference.

Agreed.. Kos was the last guy to even win a round against GSP, even if he lost the fight.

I guess anything can happen but Kos is one of the few guys in that division who might, *might* be able to stop GSPs relentless/unstoppable takedowns.

I think thats worth something if only to keep from watching GSP humiliate another pure striker for 5 rounds.

Yeah, saw that last night. Daley obviously, he's lucky he's not in jail, he would DEFINITELY lose his humility there. Kimbo is kind of sad to see, even though he's clearly not cut out for the sport. I thought I heard he had a 3 fight contract too? Oh well, guess not.

Koscheck may be a great, NCAA-champion wrestler, but lets not forget that there have been some conversations on GSP joining the Canadian National Wrestling team for the 2012 Olympics. GSP is probably one of the best wrestlers in MMA despite the fact that he has no actual experience in the discipline aside from what he has done in the octagon.

Oh, and I like Shogun's reaction on MMA Live when asked if he'd fight his fellow countryman Anderson Silva: "Yes, of course. I'm a professional fighter." In english and everything... lol

That's awesome, points for Rua from me on that one. Always nice to see respect and professionalism in the sport, that's what it's all about. Not to mention him stopping before the ref got involved last night. All around class. Taking notes Paul?

Machida will have to get 2 wins before he gets another shot. Rashad/Rampage is next and I wouldnt be surprised if Little Nog gets one after that.

Yeah, I hadn't seen much of Rua before tonight, but he's definitely made an impact on me, and if he continues to conduct himself like that, I could definitely see him becoming one of my favorite fighters.

Most UFC contracts arent guaranteed so Dana can cut fighters at any time without penalty.

Yeah either Little Nog or Griffin, especially if Shogun still has the strap they can build the rematch with Griffin well.

I'm glad Dana fired Daley. What a punk. That is exactly what MMA doesn't need and I'm glad he's gone. He'll probably wind up in Strikeforce or Dream but honestly, I don't care to see him fight again.

I love Sam Stout. Dude always puts on exciting fights, even if he doesn't win all the time. I feel bad for MacDonald with the knee injury; tough break for a guy getting a 2nd chance with the UFC.

I'm glad Kimbo is gone. I respect the man for trying but it was clear he wasn't at the level of the guys that compete in the UFC.

Koscheck has been studying some Mr. McMahon promos, lol. Dude knows how to get heel heat. I'm sure Dana would love to get that fight in Canada; the reaction for GSP would be off the chart.

GSP is going to destroy Kos. I dont care if Josh underestimated GSP's wrestling or not, GSP has gotten better since he fought Kos (as had Josh) but GSP is the superior athlete, has just as good if not better wrestling than Josh and is a better striker. GSP is going to dominate him once again.

Yeah, I've never been a Rua fan, but he won me over last night. He handled everything before, during, and after the match with as much class as you could ever want out of a fighter.

Now I'm a fan, and I'm rooting for him to have a long, healthy reign as champ.

No typo, if this up coming fight was as one sided as many people think then they shouldn't even fight just declare GSP the winner. They fight for a reason and in any fight Kos has a chance no matter who they put up against him.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!
