Yeah Machida/Griffin would be the most obvious next fight for him. That actually looks like it could be really good too, I'm a fan of both but I'd have to root for Forrest, that guy just makes you want to root for him.

Either of those two would be a perfect initial bout for Machida to get back on track to the title.

Machida/Griffin just makes sense to me....

Have to put this out there....

RUA is a class act...From the pre-fight to post-Fight...Been a fan of his since the Pride days...Hope he can hang onto the LHW Belt for a few...Seems like a tough task with all that talent....

Hey Shogun...Your english is getting much better as well....

        HUGE fan...

I think the pride rules kind of hid shogun's stand-up in a way.

Everyone remembers the brutal soccer kicks, stomps and crazy jump-punches but forget that he was dropping people on their feet before his absurd finishes on the ground.

When you look at Shogun's pride highlight reel you see him kneeing rampage in the ropes or leap-stomping kanehara.. you don't see him dropping rogerio or ubereem on their feet.

          Just a thought.

            shogun did it.

that said he has every tool and it gets better and better. his weakest aspect is his takedown defense if he fights rashad he'l work on it. and rashads iron chin cant match shoguns hooks.

he fights rampage i dont think he can get in the clinch with page. his guna have to do a forrest griffin and take him down n gnp him thats guna be task ramps is huge.

shogun has the talent and will to hold onto the belt for awhile.

Anyone else find it ironic that the Montreal crowd booed Koscheck for a performance very similar to their almighty God's? I think it was said earlier in the thread that at least GSP tries to end fights and Koscheck didn't. I recall several choke attempts during the fight that would beg to differ.

Good riddance to Daley and Kimbo. While I have no hate for Kimbo, it's clear that he doesn't belong in MMA because of his knees. Kick him there once and the fight is basically over. His knees are just too weak at this point in his life. He needs to box.

I agree he has no place as a marquee MMA fighter but I don't think Kimbo could box.. at all. A 36 year old, unathletic and injury-riddled freak show fighter would be exposed even more in boxing, especially because he insists on carrying a bunch of wasted muscle to make sure he gasses in the first 2 minutes.

Hopefully he ends up in Dream getting leg-locked by minowa or fighting bob sapp.

That's just not true. Dude is athletic... very athletic... he was a D-1 football player, after all. I think he just gasses so quick and is a bit old--not to mention he is helpless on the ground--so he looks less athletic than he is.

                    He's a puncher, not a fighter.

Minowaman would murder Kimbo... that guy's a freak with those toeholds.

I'd like to see him and Bob Sapp vie for the fetishized affections of the Japanese public. If Kimbo ends up on TV dancing around in ape suits and singing lounge songs, then we'll know who won that battle.

I would also like to offer my sincerest apologies to Josh Koscheck who did not deserve the cheap shot I threw.
                        The hell he didn't!

I saw somewhere else mention that Kos had said some out of line stuff on TUF,if that's true who knows what he said to Daley on the ground.

I don't think that's what they were booing. It was the fake knee that started it.

Kimbo has stated that he fights for a paycheck. It's the reason he started fighting. I believe if dana threatens taken money out of his pocket he will cut weight and train harder. From a business aspect it was stated on the UFC undisputed 2010 that he IS the most watched MMA fighter. From a business stand point it doesnt make much since to cut Kimbo.

UGH Daley was starting become one of my favorite fighters. **no comment**

Kos even admitted saying nasty things to him after he had the fight in the bag. why would he be doing that? screw koscheck.

Overall I thought it was a great card. I'm a Belcher fan, so I thought that was great. The main event was great I just wish it went to 2 rounds (over too quickly) I worry for Kimbo's knee. I kind of wish Matt didn't kick him there and just won without doing that. His knee's are messed up.
Why? Maybe because of all the junk that Daley talked leading up to the fight. There is smack talk to promote a fight and then there are the things Daley said. If the guy wants to run his mouth as much as he did he better back those words up or deal with the ribbing he got in return. I dont care what Koscheck said as its no excuse anyways.

When I read that apology one thing really rubbed me the wrong way. He constantly apologized but always seemed to follow it up with the whole "but" and then mentioning something Koscheck had done. He doesnt sound like a guy who actually is remorseful because of the action as much as he is for it costing him his job. If Daley wasnt canned by Dana I seriously doubt he feels the same way about the entire thing and for that reason I just have a hard time believing him.

Everyone in the UFC/MMA knows that he's weak on takedowns and submissions, so they're not going to trade hands with him - which is his strength.
And he gets far too gassed from the wrestling aspect.

The dude should look into fighting a bunch of 4-rounders ala Butterbean.
I quite honestly question his hands as well. Hes connected on guys and, unless Im forgetting something, hasnt even rocked a guy yet. If his strength is his hands then they need to actually be effective.

EDIT- I just read an interesting rumor that there are a lot of people internally over at Strikeforce wanting to throw together a fight between Kimbo and Herschel Walker. Personally Im not that interested in it but I figured it was worth posting at the very least.
