Only submission I've not been able to escape so far is the RNC; I'm like 0-4 on that one.

Is it just me or is expert easier than advanced? I'm 5-2 on expert and 1-10 on the advanced? I've knocked Rampage out 4 straight fights, loss 2, and then knocked him out again using Shogun. I couldn't even win on expert on the last undisputed.

Game is awesome

I was thinking at the beginning that knockouts were going to be a problem,but it's just me. I am winning on the higher difficulty levels finally. Learning how to sway really helped and to those that say jabs and leg kicks aren't effective then it's just you. You gotta keep tagging your opponent with them. It's not easy like 09 because if you keep doing the same thing they will counter,but if you mix it up you will do fine. I took Rampage apart with Rashad on expert. Ended up winning by unanimous decision. My strategy was to slow him down with leg kicks(you will see the effect of tagging a guy with leg kicks very quickly if you're consistent with them) After his legs were hurt he had trouble getting in close so he couldn't make use of his brutal punches and he could no longer stop me from taking him down.

It would be pretty cool if I could get a replay of that fight because that was very satisfying

If you're going up against Machida you're most likely going to be tapping,but yeah just spin the right stick clockwise or counter-clockwise. I wish there was an alternative to the shine because not only does it destroy controllers,but your hands aswell. I've only ever escaped a submission using Shogun and Machida. If I'm using Rashad or Rampage then its game over

So you are upset because the only way to stop a take down is because you have to do it manually?

Yes because Machida has the lowest take down rating of any of the demo fighters and he always gets his take down, but Evans has the highest rating and he gets about 65 percent of his to go with no blocking. It just seems like Machida's take down animation is a little cheap to me, it even works against the CPU unless they manually stop it.

anyone else feel like they stand you up too quickly? Seems that you can't stop punching or moving before the ref is standing you back up.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

I've had times where I was like "what the ****?"

And others where I stalled and just held the right stick, and took shots here and there and they didn't do anything. So I'm not sure how they decide.

unless I stay busy either trying to improve position or punch...I get stood up. Not sure what to think, but good to hear that you are allowed to work on the ground.

played about 10 fight now on expert and I think UFC 2009 is better than 2010. It's a lot of little things I don't like, e.g. that the fighters' techniques aren't shown in the screen where u can select the fighters. And "normal" punches like jabs seem to have no effect at all, and hard uppercuts and stuff also don't look good. In 09 you could really see how punches hit hard, now everything looks like girl slaps that have no effect at all. I hope EA will do a better job with their MMA game.

I believe if you hit the toggle stats on the selection screen you can hit R1 and you get to see a bunch of different things from techniques to MMA record and their UFC record, what camp their in, their nickname etc. I'm not in front of my game so I can remember.

I like the fact that the standups are varied because that's how they are in real life for the most part. Most refs aren't very consistent with their standups. Sometimes it's too early and sometimes they leave the guy on there way too long.

I'm getting turned off by this demo with all of the excessive KO's..

I hope the demo is accelerated, Im going to look at some early gameplay vids to see if the clock is moving as fast as it is in the demo....

I have not seen a sub, decision nor a TKO....

All of my matches end with me getting KO or me KO'n the CPU..

Seem like if you connect on a counter, its a auto KO......

LoL guess they was influenced by FNR4...

alright just played on expert Rua (me) vs Rampage , 3 round fight.

I was holding my own and I think I was winning the fight but then in the 3rd with 1 min left he did that flying hook and knocked me out. Thing is, I was pretty confident I had been blocking and the replay confirmed it - I was holding block and my hand was up by my head but the punch landed anyway - I actually didn't mind, it looks like punches can get through the defense which is kinda cool IMO -

btw yesterday I played my brother in about 15 matches yesterday and were both decent players - only 3 fights ended in KO ... .4 in TKO, 3 submissions and the rest were decisions. I think the balance was pretty decent once you learn how to defend yourself.
