Press downwards with right stick + either right or left depending on weather your facing them left/right side of case.
You have to do it carefully or one motion at a time, cause if you do it fast, that would trigger transition.
My experience is starting to get better at expert since I have mixed it up. I try to work on their leg first with leg kicks, that helps a lot.Comment

Re: UFC 2010 Undisputed Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
Cuts happen way too cut. If not I am going to see a thousand Kenny Florians online trying to win by cut. I mean seriously if you use a muay thai fighter, just throw one good solid elbow and they get cut.
Fatigue is definitely there. Against the cpu on expert you can't really tell though. But against another human or any level below expert and you can clearly tell.
I an just loving the leg kicks. Can't wait to play as Jardine. Also did anybody else notice how different fighters sway quicker then others ????
Rashad and Machida can sway super fast and they lean further too compared to Shogun and Rampage.
I think Shogun has the slowest sway on the demo. he barely moves.Comment

Overall..... I am not sure how I feel about the game. I really like somethings, others are kinda annoying. Many have already been talked about in the thread.
We need a startegy or a how-to thread about many of the small changes that have been made. Right now I have no idea what this posture system is but have still been able to get mount and win with ground and pound.
I have played at least 20 fights or so on expert and was disappointed. I won almost all my fights with the losses coming during flash knockouts. The times the cpu did take me down it was to easy to get back up. I really have to log some more time before I decide but part of my intrest is fading.Comment

Re: UFC 2010 Undisputed Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
Well I am starting to get the hang of it, obviously a lot to learn still.
My biggest frustrations other then subs, is when I work hard to get to full mount, I have like 5% success rate posturing up without the cpu kicking me off or whatever. Especially against machida and shogun. This is on expert btw.
As few others have mentioned, the clinch game is too hard for me on expert, like I can't really pull off the clinch and knee someone like I could with shogun on experienced or advanced. So I try to stay away from clinch except when they try to take me down. Although I need to try to go for the slams more often in the clinch so I will be working on that.
I didn't really like the how the sway works on it's own, but I love the counter striking. I also like catching leg kicks and then leg sweep them to take them down.
I JUST learned how to posture up yesterday night, since I've been playing all night. So I am happy for that, since It was getting bs, since I kept getting stand up as I didn't know how to posture up and gnp.
Btw, it was nice to find this forum since I've been looking to find a place to talk about the demo since the community forum is down.
My problem with the clinch system is there seems to be ZERO auto-transition blocking which means positions are being switched too often and too easily (unless you're in rampage's MT clinch).
A thought on ratings: you see the action list and look at all the character's level 3 stuff. It's all big bombs and headkicks - everyone's jab's and straights are level 1...they've added an un-needed incentive to live with lb being held down. I'm kind of getting back into the game though and can win often on expert. I just don't really enjoy fighting rampage, and still strongly disagree with the change in jab's straights from last year.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: UFC 2010 Undisputed Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
Ground and Pound Posturing
For guys not sure how to posture. It is really easy. If they are holding on to your head or arms. You must first break free with a MINOR transition. Once you are free. You can deliver the booms. It is just like the stand up game. Holding the LEFT Stick TOWARDS the opponent will deliever strong punches.
So holding Left stick towards the fighter is how to bring big bombs once you break free.
Postives - More powerful shots
Negatives - Transitions become easier for guy on bottom, Slower punchesComment

Re: UFC 2010 Undisputed Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
Yea I hate this to. Why not have auto-transition blocking on for clinch work too. I guess because the Mauy Thai knees might of been to powerful. But either way it makes the clinch game more transition spamming and less strikes.Comment

Re: UFC 2010 Undisputed Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
So one thing I really dont like, but havent had time to test..... the auto block with transitions. It will help ground and pound but also took all the chess match away from the ground.
Now I havent had the chance to play vs another skilled ground user, but whats the goal with transitions? Last year you tried to transistion when the other guy left an opening, now you just do 2-3 attempts? While I was on the ground I would just transistion a couple times and take mount. There didnt seem to be any reason why and I dont like that.
Will someone explain why this is good for the ground game? I did hate the punch, block, punch, block, from last year but this year it seems like guys will just spam transitions...... How do you pick an opening?
And I am with darlon on why have transiton block in the game if it auto does it. I get the fact the ground and pound is better, but I dont feel like it did a good thing for ground game. Maybe someone can shed some light that makes me feel different. I have already read the whole thread (well at least most of it).Comment

I see what your saying but not quite what I meant. A guy can space it out so you dont know exacly when he would do it but by his 3rd attempt he would pass.Comment

Re: UFC 2010 Undisputed Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
Yea but I truly feel this will get addressed in a patch or before launch. Do you realize the uproar it will make. I don't see it staying how it is. Remember this is a DEMO and things are not tuned to how they will be after the demo. Look at 09, it is completely different then the 09 demo.Comment

UFC 2010 Undisputed Demo Issues
- 3 transitions will pass 99% of the time. From any position or any fighter. This needs more balance tuning. Gaining mount should put the guy on bottom in extreme danger of not being able to get out.
- Clinch work on expert is to heavy favored to the CPU.
- Clinch work does not auto transition block. Auto transition blocking should be here also so clinch strikes are possible
- Stamina needs some serious tuning. Heavy big shots should exhaust tons of temp stamina and a good bit of permanent stamina. 3rd round should have fighters in the lower part of their stamina. 4th and 5th rounds should be near exhausting off of a single blow.
- KO's need to be toned down very so slightly. It is good to have the danger of any shot KOing but should be slightly less.
- TKO's from the stand up should happen more. So instead of those big KO's, it should be more knock downs to having someone rain down punches for the TKO
- More emphasis put on the quick strikes. Simple fix is to have a much greater stamina impact for throwing big shots. This would make people use the quicker strikes more and only open up with big shots when the time is right.
- Machida's take down. I understand it is a judo trip. But at the moment it is way to effective.
