Has anyone noticed that Chuck Liddell or Mark Coleman aren't in Career Mode? Also, have any of you noticed anyone else missing from Career Mode?

Re: Official Career Mode Thread
I think they keep some guys out of career mode so that they can come out of retirement to fight you.
It took me about 27 fights to get KO of the Night, and it was on a counter-punch.
Once stats get high, the specific sparring is crucial. I can get 20 bonus points doing that, and if the stat is at 70 requiring 7 points per point upgrade, then that is equivalent to getting 140 points in regular sparring.
I think you can only spar like that once between each fight.Comment

Re: Official Career Mode Thread
No.
I've fought 22 fights and I haven't had a single stat decay since my 4th or 5th fight. Although right now, my striking offence and defense is at 50. My take-down, submission (d only) and ground grapple offences and defenses are all around 40. And the rest are all at 30.
This is one of the most poorly designed career modes I've ever seen.Comment

Re: Official Career Mode Thread
I'm 7-1 in my middleweight career and I've made it to 2 decisions (1 win, 1 loss). Just lost my last fight to Denis Kang by decision who is a 70 overall (I am a 30 something). Its stupid that they make you fight people that are so much better than you this early in your career.Originally posted by slickdtcI'd ride his bus, that's all I'm saying.

Re: Official Career Mode Thread
I did all the allowed amateur (4 i think), and I did all of the allowed WFA fights before I was forced to join the UFC. Kang was my first UFC fight. Also I haven't had any stat decays since my 4th amateur fight. Guess I'm just not good enough at sparring.Originally posted by slickdtcI'd ride his bus, that's all I'm saying.

Re: Official Career Mode Thread
I ditched my advanced career and started a new on on experienced learning from my mistakes. I now am the champion (lost 6 bouts though) have about 9 moves learned and 2 at level 2 and 95 speed and cardio and 85 strength (WW division) I also have every attribute 70 or above and now that everything is clicking after all the hard work, my guy is aging and not healing/resting as effectively basically making my goal of getting more moves very difficult so as not to let my special attributes (kicking offence) go back to 70 and let cardio, speed strengh decay too much.
I have 3 ko of the nights and 1 sub of the night and 1 fight of the night.
I think I'm around 26-6 or something like that....you don't really become legit until after 20 fights or so.
All I did was rank everything in succession up to 30, than 50, than 70 starting with what I deemed most important (kicking offence, striking defence and sub defence)
Anyway I have 3 title defences and am entering the twilight of my career meaning I won't be able to make him that much better and will have to choose between learning new moves or levelling a few more ones that I already have.
I have 3 special kicks, 2 special punches, 1 special knee, rubber guard, one single leg slam from cage pin, and one judo throw from defensive double hooks.
my goal was to get at least 2 more punches, 2 more kicks, 2 more knee's - add butterfly guard and 2 more special ground transitions and maybe the suplex from off hooks.
There is no way I'll get all that I can tell you that. Probably half that or less.
Especially if I want to keep my attributes maxed and a few select skills over 80. Currently I have kick offence, punch defence, clinch offence, and sub defence over 80.
My goal was to create a well rounded MT striker who can avoid getting sub'd. I think I did that fairly well, but he will never be as dynamic as I want him to be.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment
