Based on this performance, I don't think Shields deserves a title shot but I don't want to watch Shields vs. Fitch or Fitch vs. GSP 2. Just give me Silva vs. GSP before both guys are on the downside of their careers.

Carwin is the better matchup to Cain then Brock is by far. No way I predict a result to that fight, though.

Cain doesn't get finished in the first round and Carwin gasses. Carwin's stand up striking isn't much better than Lesnar's. He punches hard, but has awful technique. Cain would pick him apart. The only chance Carwin has is to land one cleanly on Cain's chin and KO him.

Which is what he might be able to do. But if Cain survives, its all his. I personally think JDS finishes Cain though, still think his chin is suspect, but all the props in the world for beating the beast.

Brock has a good chin but Cain's is still suspect?

Re-watched the fight a lot, and at the very beginning Brock hit Cain square in the chin and Cain didn't even react. I was impressed. There was an exchange where Brock looked good on three punch combo but Cain really didn't even react.

The Cain vs JDS fight is interesting, but I think Cain gets him up against the fence then takes him down ASAP. I'm sure he likes that title, and exploiting his obvious wrestling advantage is the best way to keep it.

That will happen. Not the KO part, but Carwin will land a clean shot. I can't agree with you that his technique is bad because he seems to always land solid punches.

I would give Madsen a huge step up, suprising he beat Yvel that quick.

No. The part where he stumbled around, it doesn't even look like he really got hit - he just seemed to lose his footing or something..

The knee was right after that, I believe.
