Anyone else think Jones is eerily similar to Anderson Silva in terms of style? Even how they move.Originally posted by MoJust once I'd like to be the one they call a jerk off.Originally posted by MoYou underestimate my lazinessOriginally posted by Mo**** ya

Re: UFC 128: Shogun vs. Jones - 3/19 in NJ
I really enjoyed the In The Moment show that aired on Spike last night.
I've been trying to talk myself out of betting on Jones but I can't do it. I know Jones has only defeated 1 Top 10 guy (2 if you want to count Hamill before the DQ) but I can't picture him losing. I don't see a weakness.
Outside of Lesnar, Jones has the chance to be the biggest star in the UFC. He's got the total package.
Herb Dean is going to ref the main event.

Jones via 裏投 in the 2nd. (Does Japanese show up here? Ura Nage in English.)
Faber,30-27 decision.
Shalorus by TKO in the 3rd.
Nate,3rd round guillotine.
CroCop,split decision where many will complain Schaub got screwed but it could've gone either way.Comment

I've been saying that for nearly every Cro Cop fight since he's been in the UFC. I'm not getting my hopes up anymore. Schaub should be able to handle him easily on the feet if the same tentative Cro Cop that we've seen for the past 2 years shows up.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

I love Bones, but jesus the amount of disrespect towards Shogun from people around the web is astounding. Of course Bones deserves much of the praise he's getting, but I will never say anyone is gonna run through Shogun until I actually witness it myself.
I am pulling for Rua simply because of how much he's being overlooked. I really don't see Evans/Rampage beating Jones at all. But Rua, I tab him as the most likely of the three even with his questioned take down defense. His power and striking with hands and feet are the equalizer.

I am shocked too, especially considering the fact that Jones hasn't fought anybody yet. His toughest test was Bader and Bader hasn't fought anybody either. I can see thinking he could win but I don't get why people think he will steamroll through Rua.
Though I must admit seeing this pic from the weigh-ins surprised me a little. http://twitpic.com/4at5igPSN: ScoopBrady

And don't get me wrong, I would not be shocked to see Jones win. I just have a hard time believing Rua will be outclassed and/or dominated. I can't wait for this one.Comment

I'm a Shogun fan, and will probably root for him during the fight cuz i'm an underdog type of guy. But I just don't see how Jones could lose. He's in his prime, hasn't had any injuries, has a huge advantage in speed and size and reach. Is a good unorthodox striker with his hands and feet. Great defense and great wrestler.
Shogun gets taken down by lesser men, and I don't see how he can get close enough to tag Bones in the stand up.
With that said, I will be rooting for Shogun, but It doesn't look good for him."I'm addicted to Video Games, and i chase it with a little OS." -Winston ChurchillComment

How he couldn't win? Are you being serious. All you need is one shot, especially with Shogun. Never count anyone out in a mma fight ala Mike Russow, especially with his talents. Him being taking down by lesser wrestlers is a little worrying, but never count him out.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals
