****!...Well that means I'm not going to Philly. I was praying that it would be Jones v. Evans. The rest of the card is decent but not 200-300 dollar a ticket good.

Not a bad main card. It will be a good test to see what Phil Davis can do vs upper tier light heavy wieghts.

Just my .02 but if Evans doesn't defeat Davis...... that wouldn't be a good look.

Edit: after further review I guess UFC had no choice but to go with Davis as a replacement.

All the other LHW's are already scheduled for upcoming bouts, and you don't want to leave Evans on the shelf once again until Jones recovers.

Things might get really cloudy in that division

I guess there was no one else available because what has Davis done to earn a fight against Rashad?

              Not much.

There really wasn't anyone else out there for Rashad though. So I can't hate the move.

Rashad needs a fight for sure.

5-0 in the UFC. Wins against Nog, Gustafson, and Stann. Probably not anyone else to fight either though, unless Rampage gets through Hamill injury free and they want to go that route

                  Akiyama vs. Belfort?

I like Phil Davis but he'll get molested by Rashad. He's nowhere near ready for that kind of fighter.

                    Damn.

Rashad will beat Davis in a big way.

I 2nd this. Don't really care about this card. What's Bones do in the mean time?

He rests. He will be back in October. Probably fights Evans or Rampage then.

I'm confused then, I though Evans was the clear cut #1 contender? Also, he would fight on about 2 1/2 months rest?

That's exactly what I was saying haha

If for some reason Davis were to win, sucks for Evans.

That would automatically put Rampage in, assuming he beats Hammill. But say if Hammill, Coutoure and Davis wins?

                              Dang could get confusing!

I was thinking they might as well make all the upcoming LHW bouts a grand prix! Lol. Have Jones waiting at the end when he's healed up to fight whomever comes out of the gauntlet.

                              We have:

                              Rua v Griffin
                              Evans v Davis
                              Rampage v Hammill
                              Machida v Randy
                              Franklin v Little Nog
                              Bader v Ortiz
