That would automatically put Rampage in, assuming he beats Hammill. But say if Hammill, Coutoure and Davis wins?

    Dang could get confusing!

I was thinking they might as well make all the upcoming LHW bouts a grand prix! Lol. Have Jones waiting at the end when he's healed up to fight whomever comes out of the gauntlet.

    We have:

    Rua v Griffin
    Evans v Davis
    Rampage v Hammill
    Machida v Randy
    Franklin v Little Nog
    Bader v Ortiz
    Rua (Biased pick)
    Evans
    Rampage
    Machida
    Little Nog
    Bader

Then Rua vs Bader. W: Rua
    Evans vs Nog. W: Evans
    Rampage vs Machida. W: Rampage

Rampage gets a bye since he never got his immediate rematch

Rua vs Evans. W: Evans (pains me to say)

    Rampage vs Evans: Rampage

Rampage vs Bones Jones. W: ?

    Yes, I'm bored

The press release says "Evans will RISK his #1 contender spot" so if he loses...he loses his spot. I could seem him agreeing to October or November if the Davis fight isnt a tough one.

2 1/2 months isnt bad either. Weve gotten used to fighters taking 4-6 mos off between fights but thats just started happening. In 2005-2006, Hughes defended his belt 4 times in a year. Anderson will probably defend his 3 times in 2011. 3 mos is enough time for Evans if he wants the belt.

There isn't nearly enough time to do all that.

Couture/Machida winner gets offered the shot if Evans then Ramp loses. If Couture wins and refuses then you have to go with the Rua/Griffin winner. You could sell that fight...***a attempts to win his belt back and now gets more than 6 weeks to prepare for Jones or The original Ultimate Fighter versus Jones. I'd pay for either.

Not quite sure where to put this, but apparently Bones does not need surgery anymore, but his next opponent will not be Rashad apparently?

This Rashad / Jones feud is going to extremely high levels; straight up like high school drama, fighting over Twitter and what not.

Well to his credit I havent seen Jones take the bait and really get involved, Rashad on the other hand cant stop talking.

He can't. Somehow they need to get Phil Davis another fight and book Evans-Jones. If he waited for Shogun to get healthy, then got hurt, then lost his title eliminator after he already had title shot, it would suck for him.
Besides, that could be a huge grudge match.

Rashad has been saying that Bones has been acting smug around him when they have seen each other.

Basically, at UFC 129, they crossed paths and Bones asked him "what are you looking at?". Then, at some night club, Bones pulled Rashad to the side and said he was going to beat his *** and put him on a HL reel.. and then Rashad is countering by basically saying that Bones faked the injury and simply doesn't wanna fight Rashad.

That doesn't seem like something Jones would do/say, but who knows.

Could be just a ploy by Evans to win more fans. Don't see that though. Jones is becoming the poster child in the UFC for doing things the right way.

This whole situation is making Jones look really bad and almost as if he's ducking Rashad (which I don't think he is).
