Go to create a fighter screen, it will be there at the bottom saying press Y to buy the boost for 360 or triangle for PS3. Then from there it takes you to the market place/psn store and you download this 100KB file and it saves it to that fighter.

What are the most noticable differences from this, and the 2010 game?

And some people haven't liked the submission system, but how much better(or worse) is it from 2010? Cause I know 2010 was horrible, I tapped out despite the match just starting, and I could NEVER make a guy tap

The most notable difference for me so far is it's not Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots: UFC Edition like 2010 was. In 2010 damn near every fight ended with a knockout. There was no strategy involved other than to just stand and endlessly throw bombs.

In 3 however, there seems to be a need for strategy and you're rewarded for fighting smart instead of recklessly.

As for the sub system, I haven't attempted a sub yet, but I'm sure other guys will tell you -- and there's video proof in this thread as well -- that you can actually submit guys now instead of getting lucky to make a guy tap even once in 100 fights.

Holy crap they have a lot of moves and reversals in this game. A lot of moves in general. Wonder why they made so many people have the same type for ? Laziness I guess, because it is enough moves here to make a lot of guys stand out in certain areas.

Doing my created Sakuraba, Fedor and Minowa. So many moves here I am like a kid in a candy store. Going to make these guys really stand out in certain areas with some cool moves and just make them average in areas they weren't a stud in.

I must say I am learning a lot of moves that I didn't even know was possible from certain positions just by doing the create a fighter feature LOL.

Anyone know which fighters can transition to rubber guard or butterfly? So far I've seen Diaz and Sot as able to pull rubber guard and Big Nog has a rather awesome butterfly sweep to side control. I assume Penn also has butterfly guard but I haven't tried him yet.

Had a weird glitch happen agaisnt the CPU where I was clinched up with him against the cage, and then couldn't move or throw punches and neither could he. Ref just let us stand there also for the last 1:20 of a round.

From what I seen, every BJJ guy can do one or the other. And some wrestlers can do it too. Matt Hughes has butterfly guard.

Is the boost a one time thing, or can you use it on all your CAFs. Like buying it once, or over and over again. I can't check because the PS3 boost is still down.

2 quick questions from someone who will inevitably be getting the game:

1. Have not heard definitively, will the GameStop pre-order fighters be available to download?

2. Does anyone have the strategy guide and if so how helpful would it be for someone that knows just a little about UFC, specifically to get to know more about the fighters?

One thing I'm not liking about this game...

If you rock a guy from the clinch, you let go of him. I had two instances where I was murdering a guy with knees from the clinch up against the cage, but when I rocked him, I let him go. I understand that it gives the other guy a fair chance to recover but that's not very realistic. If a dude gets rocked while in the clinch, how many times does the other fighter just let go of him? I know I wouldn't..

This was from the muay thai clinch, by the way.
