Uh, yes. As it always is. He's defended his belt 8 straight times. You don't do that without having a perfect game plan every time out.

When they did fight a bit on the feet, GSP just stuck with his usual jab jab jab jab routine. When they actually did have some exchanges, Diaz staggered GSP for a moment before GSP decided enough was enough and scored another takedown.

Again not taking anything away from GSP. I'm just saying that it's not like Diaz could really get into serious stand up exchanges due to GSP's takedowns. He had to be very cautious in that regard.
And on the ground just giving his back and tempting gsp to make the mistake henderson did by going for the hooks, and using that window to escape. when gsp hopped over and blocked his escape, he was lost. he couldnt do what he wanted, and couldnt adapt. where were these "problems" GSP had to deal with on the ground.

Yeah, I'm not sure why any of this needed to be said. GSP annihilated Diaz in every faucet of the fight. The point was, when they were standing, Diaz had no choice but to be cautious. Every time he opened up and started swinging he got taken down. So while it's fair to say GSP outstruck Diaz, I don't think it's all that black and white. GSP's standup is more than good but his shots are what made the difference on the feet.

Anyway, it's good that the bad blood was a part of this fight. If they were respectful of each other leading up, the fight would have been even more boring. The fact that many people wanted Diaz to get beat down made it a bit more watchable. GSP's safe fight strategy is great for him but not so great for putting on a show. The jab and takedown are not what I want to see in main events.

It will be interesting to see if they actually make GSP fight outside of Canada for his next fight.

The point is Diaz despite his trash talk did the same thing all of GSP's other opponents have done by going into the defensive shell, dispite claiming even if he was taken down he was taking the fight to GSP. It really is that black and white.

OK? Lol, I'm not sure who was expecting the outcome to be any different than that. Jab, takedown, jab takedown. Diaz try to swing, takedown. Styles make fights, that's what's black and white. GSP's style dictates that you'll spend some time on your feet but in complete fear of the takedown. Therefore you get jabbed to death because you're tentative.

All the credit in the world for GSP being able to master that. His timing, karate, and boxing are all good enough to make his takedowns even more dominating. His strength is unmatched at the WW division as well.

If that's what entertains people, so be it.

Diaz is just plain crazy. He finally admits he is a child and stupid.

MONTREAL -- American welterweight Nick Diaz says he has never paid taxes.

The revelation came after he talked about how poor his preparations were for UFC 158, a lopsided loss to champion Georges St-Pierre on Saturday night at the Bell Centre. Diaz was asked whether he was considering changing fight camps.

"I can't be jumping teams. I just have to invest a little bit more, now that I have a little bit more money," the 29-year-old from Stockton, Calif., said. "You know what? I've never paid taxes in my life. I'm probably going to go to jail.

"Nobody wants to hear about that, nobody wants to hear that kind of talk or what's really going on with me," he said. "I might as well as be a kid. I've had fight after fight after fight after fight. You don't know what that does to somebody that didn't graduate high school? You don't understand."

"Nick Diaz has been in the game a long time. If you saw his pay check tonight, you wouldn't feel too sad for him," UFC president Dana White said.

"At the end of the day, Nick has been in the sport forever. He wanted a shot at the title, he got a shot at the title and he got paid a lot of money for it. What's sad is he better go pay those taxes, a soon as he gets that check."

White said he may speak to Diaz's lawyer to see if he can help.

                Very impressed with Jordan Mein.
Hope Cote is back in his groove now.
It's gonna be hard to top Condit/Hendricks. Hendricks even wants the title shot in Montreal.
I'm sure Nick Diaz can easily get a job at the circus considering how big of a clown he is.

                Actually...give him the rematch...in Japan...under Pride rules.

Diaz gets stopped in Pride rules in that fight. GSP could have landed knees to his head the whole time.

Yes. Exactly. I was thinking that throughout the fight.

                      More Diaz drama

So Braulio Estima was with GSP in Montreal and tried to shake Nick's hand after the fight.. I guess Nick pushed him away. SMH

Then what's worse is that Cesar's cousin, Cron, was cornering Nick for the fight, is a BJJ player and was supposedly close to Estima, tried to instigate a fight with Estima.

Estima was just trying to show respect and love. Instead Nate Diaz, Nick and Cron were flipping Estima off and calling them mother ****ers. They were challenging Estima and his crew to a fight... Those dudes are wild.

Estima says that he and Cron were all friends and cool with each other no matter what they've been through. That's just sad because Estima seems like a really chill and cool dude.

There is a bunch of history there. One of the Diaz brothers stood Estima up for a supposed fight at the JJ Expo last year.

                              Re: UFC 158 - GSP v. Diaz & Condit v. McDonald 2 - Montreal - March 16

UFC welterweight Nick Diaz caused quite a stir late Sunday night when he posted photos to Twitter and Instagram showing him on the side of the road with Citrus Heights police cars in the background, lights flashing.

Diaz was involved in an incident that took place with two individuals arrested by the Citrus Heights Police Department, according to Sgt. David Moranz. Diaz was not one the individuals arrested.

“(Diaz) was a passenger in a vehicle on Sunday night, March 17, around 11 p.m. (PT),” Moranz told MMAWeekly.com. “The vehicle was stopped for driving the wrong way on a one-way street in downtown Sacramento.”

Diaz had just returned to California from Montreal, having lost a five-round unanimous decision to UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre at UFC 158 on Saturday night.

The driver of the car that Diaz was a passenger of was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant, while another passenger was arrested for possession of concentrated cannabis (commonly referred to as hashish).

Diaz was not accused of or charged with any violations.

“He was cooperative and released without incident,” Sgt. Moranz added.

Sgt. Moranz was also one of the officers on the scene.

Diaz posted the photos with little information accompanying them, saying only “Yes i am on the sidewalk :/” and “We lost Alix and Vic” alongside his Instagram pictures, leading to much conjecture.

In the end, according to Sgt. Moranz, Diaz was a passenger in the vehicle and released from the scene without incident.

Nothing is going to change unless someone makes him. He plays up his friends having guns pointed at their head and getting shot. Well get different friends then. Unless someone forces him to move or locks him in the gym.

A normal person would have stopped all that, but that is a society issue with people like him.
