This fight was the main reason I was ordering this card. They can hang that up now. Back to streaming.

Not only is Evans out but Chael Sonnen is stepping in to replace him, I personally have zero interest in watching that fight.

I doubt he steps in, with the TUF Brazil feud with him and Wandy. Personally, it's a genius ploy for Chael if it works. Comes in, get finished in r1, get a huge paycheck then focus on the Wandy fight to get another big check.

Ya'll gotta watch out streaming, apparently some guy got fined 12k for streaming 2 UFC ppvs.

Bloody Elbow went around broadcasting that news about the 12k fine but didnt focus on two major points: 1) The only reason Zuffa won is because the defendant didnt respond to the complaint. 2) Zuffa has tried to sue other websites/people and have lost every time when the defendants have retained an attorney and answered the complaint.

My advice for people is if you are going to stream....dont do it at a site that asks you to register or provide personal information.

Agreed on that last part. I don't know why in the hell would you register with your personal information if you're going to do something illegal. Makes no sense lol.

Sonnen better go through with his fight with Silva. Smh

Cormier gets stuck now. If Gus wins decisively you have to assume he'd get the shot instead of Cormier who would be idle.

Cormier should fight JDS since Overeem is ducking JDS. Just stay at HW Cormier

The Chael thing isn't gonna happen. He is still in Brazil filming Tuf. It looks like they are just gonna move the fight to 172 or 173. I would love if they move it to 172 since I'm going.

Exactly, the only site I used required I register because you paid $5 every 6 months to get all the streams in HD but I'm starting to second guess if I want to continue using it as it has all my info. Having said that I havent used it in months because I was a cheap bastard and didnt wanna pay the $5 lol, might be better to stick with the ones Ive been using that require no registeration.

Stupid question aholbert, is there any protection to the fact that I'm paying for that site or could the UFC basically come down on them and get all those records regardless and thus I'd be exposed in the process?

No protection comes from paying for the site and it actually leaves you more likely to be sued. The UFC could sue the site and get those records through a subpoena. If you registered, they will have all of you personal information and can file suit immediately. People who registered are pretty much sitting ducks for Zuffa because Zuffa now has your personal information and along with the site access records they dont have to go through any other steps to file suit or prove you accessed the site.

Here is what Zuffa has to go through if you dont register:

                            1) They have to sue the site you accessed
                            2) They have to subpoena the site and ask for all IP addresses that accessed the site to watch a specific UFC fight.
                            3) They then have to subpoena the cable/satellite provider and ask them to identify the owner of the IP Address. Most cable companies will object to that sort of request.
                            4) If they do provide the information, Zuffa could file suit but they face a tough burden of proof.....because just because my IP address accessed a site doesnt mean that I watched it. It couldve been someone else in my house. It couldve been someone else using or stealing my wifi etc.

This is similar to what the music biz did post Napster. They sued enough people to scare people away from using sites like Kazaa/Limewire to download music. They won a few cases by default because people didnt respond to the suit and waved those judgments around as if they were proof that their lawsuits were successful and to further scare people. This is what the UFC is doing now.

Again if you are going to access streams, dont provide your personal information. Even if you dont, there is a less than 1% chance you will get sued. That is your best bet (other than using IP changing/hiding software) to avoid a lawsuit.

Patrick Cummins is replacing Evans and facing Cormier.

                              He's 4-0 with 4 first round finishes.

Please end the Boremier hype train Cummins. I understand clinch work against the cage, but actually dirty box from there. Just holding a guy there throwing the occasional knee or letting him wiggle around a little so the ref doesnt break it up just puts a sour taste in my mouth. His fights are boring when hes not slamming people.
