Albert was never super over, but he was a solid midcard talent for a while. He's a little better in the ring than he used to be, but his gimmick is very bland. He's a white guy pretending to be Japanese. It's weird. If they repackage him (even if it's just as new and improved Albert without the body hair), he can be a mid to upper midcard guy. I have no idea why they expected him to be a main event player out of the gate though. Even guys like Jericho struggled when they first came back.

I was pulling for Albert but it was mostly bc he was one of the guys I remember when I watched it back in the day. His gimmick was stupid.

Believe it or not, the WWE creative team learned of Randy Orton’s 60 day suspension yesterday when it was announced on the company’s web site. They were building to a Orton vs. Dolph Ziggler match.

I honestly don't think either is really ready. I think they need to have a feud with an established upper tier guy first. How much mic time has Rhodes had on Raw? I know these guys should get shots based on their in ring work along but we all know that's not really how it works. I think Ziggler is closer than Rhodes at the moment and a feud with Orton would have put him in a prime position.

Rhodes had another feud with Orton last year. Now he got crushed at the end (which would happen to Ziggler anyway because it is Orton), but already had the feud. Time to get Rhodes out of the kiddie pool known as WWE's undercard title division.
