Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
I thought the Wrestlemania 2000 main event was done well... probably would have been better with just Foley, Rock, and Triple H, but more than 2 was fine. I seem to remember Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels vs. ??? being pretty good as well at Wrestlemania XX.Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
Question mark vs. HBK vs. Triple H is still one of the best triple threat matches of all-time (and thus one of the best Mania main events of all time). You can do a triple threat and make it work.I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update). I write it, and it hits your inbox every Friday morning (for freeeeeee). We also have an official OS Discord you can now join.Comment

I'd be all for Punk, Rock, Cena triple threat, although I'd rather see Cena/Punk.Originally posted by MoJust once I'd like to be the one they call a jerk off.Originally posted by MoYou underestimate my lazinessOriginally posted by Mo**** ya

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
Yeah, I have no problem with a triple-threat and Cena-Rock-Punk would be really good. Plus, for all those that complain about Rock's gas tank, he'd get more rest spots in a triple-threat, and adding Punk to the mix would make the outcome of the match more questionable.Currently Playing:

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
The problem with a triple threat is that normally it's hard to build a high stakes storyline into it. That wouldn't be the case at all with this match. From Punk's perspective, it'd be him, the disrespected, under appreciated "Best in the World" against the two "faces" of the industry. From Cena's perspective, it'd be going against the guy that beat him the year before and started the worst year of his career, and the guy that, like he says, he has been unable to take the belt from the last 6 times they've met. And from The Rock's perspective, it could still go back to the personal stuff Cena said about him quitting and all the things Punk has said since he came back. Honestly, I think it's the best way to go. I almost hope Taker does sit Mania out so they do this instead. I think that match and build up would be better than Rock/Cena, Rock/Punk, or Cena/Punk.Comment

I'm done watching wrestling until probably wrestle mania or the Rock drops the belt. I'd be back in a heartbeat if that was what was being built up.Originally posted by MoJust once I'd like to be the one they call a jerk off.Originally posted by MoYou underestimate my lazinessOriginally posted by Mo**** ya

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
I really don't want anything but the triple threat now. It honestly makes more sense than most of the stuff they've thrown together since I started watching again.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
We noted before that The Rock trained with Michael McGillicutty to prepare for his Royal Rumble match. Rock is now supporting McGillicutty and he's always had Triple H backing him. No word yet on why he continues to be kept on the lower end of the roster. There's been a big push to get rid of his name and call him Joe Hennig but WWE officials are so against real names these days because they want to full own everyone's ring name.
- Vince McMahon is legitimately having surgery done on his left hip soon. Vince has had a bad hip for some time now. The storyline injury from Brock Lesnar was done as a reason to take off for the surgery.
- As noted before, the early word on plans for Chris Jericho's return is that he will feud with Dolph Ziggler before turning heel and facing Ryback at WrestleMania 29. The idea would be to use Jericho to get Ryback back where he was. Jericho felt back in October that Hell In a Cell was the right time for Ryback to take the WWE Title.Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
I seem to remember Cena always putting up solid triple threat matches especially PPVs and with Punk involved since they seem to have great chemistry it could only be great imo.
Normally like mentioned the build up to a triple threat could be awkward especially with there being a little more time to build this match. However you'd have Cena's he'll take anyone on attitude, Rock being the champion of the people, and well Punk just hating everyone. Heck it'd probably work better for the WWE now that I think of it if they want to build Cena as returning to the top after a bad 2012.Last edited by Chrisksaint; 01-31-2013, 09:15 PM.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
Well. Had the Rock not been coming back to face Punk at RR, The Ryback should have won the title.
The Ryback - Rock would not be nearly as good as Punk - Rock (which wasn't great) so keeping it on Punk was the right idea. The Ryback should have won though, in a world where it wasn't pre-planned for the Rock to come back. I think the RAW was in Sacramento where the crowd was popping so loud for The Ryback that the cameras were shaking. The dude was massively over.
WWE has enough talent in-house to put on good matches with Ryback for the belt so that's not the issue. I know it's the internet and we're supposed to say that nobody but Ziggler/Punk/Bryan/Barrett/Cesaro/Sandow deserve to be featured, but he had the crowd behind him like none other. You can't avoid that.badComment
