The Ryback should have won though, in a world where it wasn't pre-planned for the Rock to come back. I think the RAW was in Sacramento where the crowd was popping so loud for The Ryback that the cameras were shaking. The dude was massively over.

WWE has enough talent in-house to put on good matches with Ryback for the belt so that's not the issue. I know it's the internet and we're supposed to say that nobody but Ziggler/Punk/Bryan/Barrett/Cesaro/Sandow deserve to be featured, but he had the crowd behind him like none other. You can't avoid that.
Yeah, I think WWE will look back at that moment in time as a lost opportunity. Reminds me in a way of when Edge first won the WWE Championship; long-term plans got in the way of WWE going with the hot hand.

They were hot for him in Sacto, but the next week (week before PPV) it was just back to solid cheers and GOLDBERG chants.

I agree to an extent. Look what happened to Ryder. The only guy I felt they really missed it on, and I know I'm in the minority, Shelton Benjamin. I know he sucked on the mic and was rough around the edges, but that feud w/ HHH was awesome. Should've gotten someone to work w/ him or something. Edge sucked on the mic at one point too and look what happened to him w/ time.

Benjamin just needed more mic time, as painful as it would be to start off.

It goes back to the whole "Play yourself, just louder" type thing. Those characters can grow organically, because they aren't sent out there to act. They can respond in real time and don't have to have a second or two to think "How would I react to this like I'm supposed to."

Look at Daniel Bryan. What was the knock on him coming in? "Great wrestler, no charisma/sucks on the mic." He finally got to play a version of himself and he stood toe-to-toe with the Rock on the mic @ Raw 1000. Outshined him in that particular occasion, IMO.

Don't you think those cheers would've increased if he had destroyed Punk in HIAC and won the title? Championships, when used properly, can create new stars, as someone once said.

Yes I do. Especially if he won it after the shield destroyed him. I even went from making fun of him to actually wanting to see him. If he would just change that damn finishing move.

I'm with you. He needs to do a powerbomb of some sort, with the Shell Shock as the "signature" move.

Use the Powerbomb on most guys, still have a few be pinned after the Shell Shock and then use the Shell Shock as a finisher on the "Bigs".

This isn't really dirt, but it has to do with Rocky.

Some people had been question his stamina, saying the only thing he did was lift and didn't worry about his cardio. This is his gym schedule (not including the running he does in the morning):

Monday, Wednesday, FridayChest, back, biceps, calves: 5 sets, 15-20 reps, 30 second rest periods
Cardio: 5 minute warm-up, 12 minutes high intensity, 5 minute cool down

                  Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
Quads, hamstrings, shoulders, triceps: 5 sets, 15-20 reps, 30 second rest periods
Cardio: 5 minute warm-up, 12 minutes high intensity, 5 minute cool down

Cardio is different than being in ring shape.

I used to run anywhere from 15-45 miles a week plus being in the gym 1-2x a day Mon-Sat. I'd be fairly gassed 5 minutes into an MMA fight, which we did maybe once every 2-3 months.

                            WM 29 news:

                            - Many fans were wondering WWE's reasoning for having this year's Royal Rumble match come down to John Cena and Ryback. There was no longterm reasoning, such as an upcoming feud, behind Cena eliminating Ryback. Officials just wanted Cena eliminating someone strong to win the match.

                            - There was talk of doing a Money in the Bank match at WrestleMania 29 but WWE officials recently decided they do not want the match taking place on the biggest show of the year. The feeling is Money in the Bank should be left to its own pay-per-view. The idea for this year would have been to feature Ryback in the match to get him over big time but that won't be happening, at least not at WrestleMania.

                            - F4Wonline.com reports that as of Saturday, there is still no word on whether or not The Undertaker will work WrestleMania 29. It's said that Taker keeps changing his mind.

There is also no replacement match in the works for CM Punk yet. Besides all the talk, we should know something more solid on the weekend of WWE's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

                            - WWE officials had discussed a Ryback vs. Big Show feud but those talks have apparently been dropped.

                              Taker shouldn't come back.

Punk needs to stay in the title picture and give us a triple threat
