I read it was just one of them. Probably Reigns since he doesn't get many solo matches.

There is a plan in place to do an angle on RAW where Cena asks the fans who they want to get the WWE Title shot at SummerSlam, with the idea that Bryan will be picked.

- When news leaked last week of WWE's plans to do an angle where John Cena let the WWE fans pick Daniel Bryan as his SummerSlam opponent, WWE officials went ahead and did the angle on this week's Raw. It was originally planned to happen a few weeks from now, closer to when Total Divas aired. The feeling at Raw was that they wanted to put the official SummerSlam main event out there as early as possible.

- The decision to have Randy Orton win Money in the Bank goes back two or three weeks. WWE officials felt they should do it because nobody would see an Orton win coming. One of the reasons Orton has lost a lot lately is because they felt they needed to "bring him down to build him back up."

- Former WWE Superstar MVP discussed wanting to return to wrestling in the United States sooner rather than later.

"If I did return to wrestling in the States — which I most likely will — the clock is running down," MVP told the UK Sun. "I'm 40 in October. I started training when I was 27 and signed with WWE when I was 31. But I don't have the wear and tear that most guys my age have, I got some time left."

Yeah, except for the one guy that knows every ****ing thing they're doing.

Also seems like a sound way to hand out pushes/opportunities. "No one will see it coming!"

The funny thing about "no one seeing it coming" was that Orton was pretty much who everyone said would win if they didn't have DB win. If they really wanted no one to see it coming, Christian would have won.

A little bit of tweaking and he could be fantastic as a heel champ.

Lots of news today:

- We've noted how David Otunga has been doing various legal analysis on TV lately. WWE sees this as him doing public relations work for them. No word yet on when he will be brought back to the storylines.

- Rey Mysterio is doing stem cell treatment to regenerate his knee ligaments under Dr. James Andrews. The treatment will allow him to avoid major surgery. He's being targeted for a return in about three months.

- According to a new report, the front-runners for WrestleMania in 2015 are Santa Clara, California in the Bay Area and Philadelphia. Front-runners for 2016 look to be Cowboys Stadium in Dallas/Arlington and Orlando.

- Batista is not returning to WWE any time soon and if he did, it would be in early 2014 for WrestleMania season. One person close to Batista notes that he's not going to return at all if he's got anything going on for early 2014 with new movies, because that's his line of work and priority now.

- The Undertaker is currently recovering from shoulder surgery and will not be at SummerSlam. It's doubtful he will be back until his usual pre-WrestleMania return. Taker's shoulder issues are said to be pretty bad at this stage of the game.

- WrestleMania XXX would mark 11 years since Steve Austin last wrestled a match. WWE has interest in Austin working the event, if he wants to work it and can get medically cleared. There has been an idea discussed for Austin vs. Triple H with the control of WWE at stake. Austin would be representing Vince McMahon.

- Many talents in TNA are not happy about what's going on and some have sent feelers to WWE officials through friends.

- Word going around WWE is that the current plan for SummerSlam has Daniel Bryan defeating John Cena for the WWE Title, only to see Randy Orton cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase, take the WWE Title and finally make his long-awaited heel turn.

It's possible WWE announces the Randy Orton neck injury on RAW and keep him off TV for a few weeks, that way his cash in at SummerSlam will be more of a surprise.

Another sign that Orton will be cashing in at SummerSlam is that as of this week, there is no Bryan vs. Cena rematch planned for September's Night of Champions pay-per-view.

- WWE had Xavier Woods as one of the people speaking to media at the Performance Center last week. Besides how well spoken Woods is, WWE officials are high on him because he has a PHD. Woods graduated from Furman University while wrestling for TNA and later got his Masters. He’s currently working on his dissertation while training in WWE developmental. Even though Woods would be an independent contractor and not an employee, WWE has allowed him to be part of a tuition reimbursement program, which helps out a lot given developmental talents don’t make much money.

- Backstage after Tuesday's SmackDown tapings, the reported injury to Randy Orton was not a big deal and some were not even aware that he was hurt. Orton came back out for the dark main event but only came in at the end to hit a RKO. Besides CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar and Daniel Bryan vs. John Cena for the WWE Title, other matches in the works for SummerSlam include:

* Kane vs. Bray Wyatt

* Cody Rhodes vs. Damien Sandow with the briefcase on the line

* Big E Langston vs. Dolph Ziggler

* A Divas match on the pre-show

The Shield will be doing something with Mark Henry and The Usos and if not, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns will defend the WWE Tag Team Titles against Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro. Keep in mind none of these matches, except for Lesnar vs. Punk and Bryan vs. Cena, are confirmed.

- The Wrestling Observer reports that Brian "Road Dogg" James is now officially a WWE creative team member. James had been at meeting the last few weeks because officials wanted someone with experience in the business at meetings.

- We noted how the recent Sami Zayn vs. Antonio Cesaro 2 of 3 Falls Match at the NXT TV tapings received "match of the year" chants from fans in attendance. People in production who saw the footage of the match as it was being put together for TV said it's a must-see match from a TV standpoint.

- As noted, Big Show will be returning on Monday's RAW. Show was reportedly out with a knee injury and was still limping backstage at Money in the Bank over the weekend. Show has dropped some weight and is looking to drop more weight. Show is booked on an upcoming WWE tour as a heel against Randy Orton.

- As noted, Chris Jericho has finished up with WWE for now so he can go back on tour with Fozzy. Jericho won't be back for several months and his return may come as another WrestleMania XXX season surprise.

- At one point, Curtis Axel vs. Daniel Bryan was going to take place at SummerSlam. The two will likely wrestle on RAW or SmackDown in the next few weeks.

- Damien Sandow, who is now calling himself Sir Money in the Bank, recently spoke with The Austin Chronicle and talked about cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase:

"I will wait for the perfect moment, and I assure you that once I get the title, I plan on retiring with it. If I revealed my strategy, that wouldn't be very smart, would it?"

I kind of expected it.

With all the rumors that Vince didn't want to give the title to Bryan, what a way to give the people what they want.. and than slap them in the face.
