The thing is, they have to let it grow organically. Forcing someone down the fans throats just makes people resent them.

I, too, have high hopes for Woods - it just can't be rushed.

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread

The previously mentioned Shield "heat" is apparently because Orton botched (suprise!) and Reigns got pissed at him:

There was heat on the Shield in recent weeks. It was said that Rollins and Reigns were the two the office was upset with... Another WWE source said the issue with Reigns was that there was a house show tag match which Reigns and Randy Orton were in, and they botched up a spot and got into a shouting match about it backstage. A guy in Reigns' spot arguing with a guy in Randy Orton's spot is a great way to get massive heat on you.

Regardless of what happened, we were told that there was a power struggle of sorts in that Vince McMahon wanted people punished and Triple H didn't want them punished, so he was fighting to keep them strong on TV.
There is currently heat on The Shield, which may explain why the group has recently fallen down the card. In this week's (subscribers only) F4W Newsletter , Bryan Alvarez writes ...

It'll be much safer when he turns heel and goes back to filling up a match with 8 minutes of chinlocks.

To be fair the article says "they" and not specifically that either one was to blame for the botch

Bring back Shelton Benjamin to fulfill this "black WWE champion" want.

            Shield heat update:

            - There are current TNA talents who have tried to talk to WWE as of late, about how to go about getting out of their deals, but WWE refuses to talk to them since they're under contract to TNA. WWE has been monitoring who is being released from TNA. The feeling is that Matt Morgan will likely be WWE-bound by the end of the year.

            - There has been some backstage heat on The Shield in recent weeks but it's said their Money in the Bank pre-show match against The Usos was so good that whatever heat they had was pretty much gone after that match.

It was said that Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns were the two that officials were upset with. People within WWE believe the heat was over something petty. One source believed the issue was between Rollins and Big Show while another report was that Roman Reigns called out Randy Orton over a botched spot at a live event and that led to heat on him. Regardless of what happened, word is that there was a power struggle of sorts in that Vince McMahon wanted people punished and Triple H didn't want them punished, so Triple H was fighting to keep them looking strong on TV.

Maybe its me but I find it kinda racist and stupid they wanna push and merchandise talent based on skin color or national origin and not on talent, Del Rio and mysterio being examples of this

Yeah, but he really can't help himself. It's to the point where you almost feel sorry for him.

                        Almost.

Because that's the only Orton botch in history.

If Orton had just done some ROH time, GOH would love him.

                                - Mick Foley had praise for Damien Sandow and Bray Wyatt following this week's SmackDown:

"OK, good night for real this time. By the way, @WWEBrayWyatt is my new hero...with all due respect to @RRWWE. Intoxicating stuff, bro."

"I HAVE MADE A MISTAKE! With all due respect to @WWEBrayWyatt, following the end of #Smackdown, it is @TheDamienSandow who is my true hero."

                                - WWE Total Divas Eva Marie and Jo Jo Offerman worked as hosts for this weekend's NXT live events. NXT Diva Erika Hammond, who has been suffering from an injury, was also back to work this week. She also did some ring announcing. Eva continues to play up the heel role that we saw on RAW in the MizTV segment.

                                - The reason the Rob Van Dam vs. Alberto Del Rio match ended the way it did on Friday night's SmackDown was because Del Rio suffered a broken rib or ribs the night before in his match against Sheamus. The quick loss for RVD wasn't meant to bury him or anything, it was just WWE's attempt to gimmick their way out of a match that was previously advertised.

                                - Here are some of Bray Wyatt's latest tweets:

"Time is a concept THEY created to make sure you never know what it is to be free. -Bray Wyatt Disobey? #DownWithTheMachine"

"@WWE Crazy is a label that learning men use to explain things they cant understand. Im only as crazy as you are blind #DownWithTheMachine"

                                - Antonio Cesaro continues to receive "match of the night" and "match of the year" mentions. He wrestled Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel in a 30 minute match that was called "match of the night" at last night's WWE live event in Sydney, Australia. Axel worked as a babyface and a fan in attendance noted that he played the role well.
