I know punk has training but Im thinking the same is he would need to be in some sort of development project ordeal. Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnnar both did well in martial arts but failed in the end. Im wondering if WWE will address the issue at all?

I wouldn't call winning the UFC Heavyweight title and being one of the highest payed MMA fighters a failure.

I'd still pay money to see Brock fight. In his short stint, he's one of the biggest draws UFC has ever had.

Brock was awesome. I was so aggravated when Cain Velasquez destroyed him.

Muscle weighs a lot more than fat. I'm 6'3", and out of shape at around 260. To be at 8% body fat without putting on a single pound of muscle, I'd weigh around 194. And be pretty damn skinny. Punk is a couple inches shorter than I am, but I'd wager he's carrying a lot more muscle, since you'd have to in order to do his job. I'd say 218 is actually pretty reasonable: that's only about 20 lb more muscle proportionate to a guy like me, who is very much not a professional athlete. And that's not all that hard to put on with a good diet and without routine.

That said, even dropping to 206, no way he could do MMA. He may have the raw talent to do it, but he's too old to be starting from scratch there. He could do it, and win some fights, but he's never going to be near a Championship level there.

I'm not saying he could do it, but I'd love for someone to prove to me that CM Punk is over 200lbs. Let's not act like the dudes jacked, because he's not. Stand him beside Mark Coleman, a dude who's 205, and I'd laugh at someone who told me CM Punk weighed more than him.

The above news confirms that I want Wyatt to break the streak. Such a good gimmick.

Coleman had to cut a ton of weight to get to 205. He walked around at 235-245.

I understand that, but CM Punk still doesn't compare. It's amazing people believe the billed weight that the WWE puts out whenever we've had this discussion before where the WWE jacks up heights and weights to make people seem bigger than they are.

For one, WWE supposedly stopped doing that a while back. That's when Punk started getting billed at 220 instead of 230, and Bryan is no longer 220.

For two, Punk does compare. Coleman doesn't have much more mass, he has less fat. It makes him look more muscular, because he's more defined. At the same lean mass, an extra 5% body fat is going to account for 12 lbs or so.
